mickythehoss Posted 4 October 2011 Posted 4 October 2011 The Model will be available for viewing from Saturday 8/10/2011 from it's new permanent site inside the new Fans Store, I have donated it to the club so LCFC fans young and old can share in a little bit of the club's history, I also collected nearly £500 for LOROS by selling adverts on it. Hope you like it, I may do another next year. CheersMy link
Ashley Posted 4 October 2011 Posted 4 October 2011 Micky, I admire you for making this model especially with you only having one hand(I hope you don't mind me saying this). Great effort! Keep up the good work. Wouldn't mind seeing a model of the Walkers Stadium? Or even you making the Carling stand from Filbert street.
BrummieFOX Posted 4 October 2011 Posted 4 October 2011 Absolute legend mate. The model looks incredible, can't wait to see it in the store and delighted that it will be permanently at the stadium.
One Arm Babba Posted 4 October 2011 Posted 4 October 2011 Is there any photos us foreign fans can view? Well done.

BoneDog Posted 4 October 2011 Posted 4 October 2011 The model of Filbert Street is the best thing I have ever seen!! The 400ft underground salt mine cathedral carved into the salt in Poland I saw on Coach Trip the other day was pretty awe inspiring but this model is unreal and takes the gold! Incredible work
FoxesAreBlue Posted 4 October 2011 Posted 4 October 2011 Thank-you, what a fantastic thing you've made there.
mickythehoss Posted 4 October 2011 Author Posted 4 October 2011 I would pay £500 to have one in my home. Ha Ha I bet you would, I lost count at £850 in materials only Nice Words Fellas, Thanks very much for that. Visit my web site at www.rebuildingfilbo.webs.com where there are loads of pics and stuff
mickythehoss Posted 4 October 2011 Author Posted 4 October 2011 what did you use to make it with? looks quality if you do another next year please do filbo with the carling stand! It's mainly plastic and balsa, have a look at this www.rebuildingfilbo.webs.com
marko Posted 4 October 2011 Posted 4 October 2011 It's mainly plastic and balsa, have a look at this www.rebuildingfilbo.webs.com Fantastic work. Could I ask how you went about? Did you work from any plans, or was it literally a case of looking at photos and cutting the balsa/plastic from there?
mickythehoss Posted 4 October 2011 Author Posted 4 October 2011 Fantastic work. Could I ask how you went about? Did you work from any plans, or was it literally a case of looking at photos and cutting the balsa/plastic from there? Luckily John Hutchinson (The Historian) had a very scratchy set of plans of the Main Stand so that helped me to get an accurate(ish) size for me to work from then it was just a case of trawling though 100's of Photo's. All the parts were scratch built, Crush barriers took about 1/2 hour each to make, I'm now suffering from mild madness
