bettso Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 Pointless trying to blame one or two players or blaming Sven. Absolutely nothing about the game was positive yesterday. Not one person involved in the playing, management staff can take any credit from yesterday. The crowd also was a complete let down again. From the minute I walked into the stadium all I could hear were people slagging off one player or another or Sven and some were even slating the owners. From leaving the house to getting home, it was possibly the least enjoyable 4 hours of my life. Still, i'll be at West Ham next week cheering them on as that is all we can do as fans.
Benji Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 If you think Abe does nothing then you're a bit of a 'tard and clearly you don't watch the game.
Guest Col city fan Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 Wellens was terrible , Abe too slow & not in the game , How on earth can Abe be blamed for anything? He's got himself fitter, puts his all into the game and appears to want to play for City Then Sven goes and sticks him out on the right!! He's in the wrong fookin position Sven you cock! He does not have the pace to get up the right flank or to dart through the middle.. Talk about square pegs in round holes!!
Corky Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 Yeah.............bloody good job King & Fernandez were outstanding !!! Sorry Richie, but you were just as bad yesterday.
Burmesefox Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 I thought Wellens was one of our better players unlike the boy wonder King that is a total enigma

Benji Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 Hi yuki, your English is getting better! Hilarious. Who gave you a +1, Wellens?

Until he got his knock i thought Abe was probably the best of our midfielders on saturday....... I know that is not saying much, but he was asked to do a job on the right and mostly, he did it pretty well. He is not a right winger as you say, but he stayed wide(ish), got up and down his flank and supported and covered Peltier well, decent effort I thought. Not to be confused with the tosser who was supposed to be doing the same on our left flank who's absence was totally to blame for their second goal and arguably to blame for another.
Kitchandro Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Having seen the goals again, Wellens and Abe were each partly at fault for the first 2 goals by not tracking back.
Fox92 Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Pointless trying to blame one or two players or blaming Sven. Just saying, who can we blame if we can't blame Sven? He spent millions building this squad and he picks the team, etc
Master Fox Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 I think we can safely say our midfield is a complete and utter load of dog turd. Players who we should let go or sell: Wellens King Abe Dyer All of them are rubbish and quite frankly not good enough for a promotion chasing team. They’ve proved now over the last 18 months or so that none of them are up to the task. Get rid I say.

martyn Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Abe is a good player, playing out of position. Someone said he lacks energy, perhaps they should re-evaluate whether they are mentally competent enough to watch football. He's the kind of player who will not win headlines, but would be regarded as an important player in the right circumstances. As good as Wellens can be on his day, I'm not really a fan. I don't like his attitude and I think he gets away with things in the eyes of fans. The amount of times I've seen him create an injury after being tackled to avoid chasing back (have a look), and he's not 'creative' as many people like to claim here. For me, creativity isn't necessarily as basic as providing the assist for a goal, it's finding something different, the pass no-one expects or having guile in and around the penalty area. Being a decent technician (which Wellens is) is not enough, the stuff he does is not in areas conducive to hurting the opposition. His best hope of having an impact is in a 4-4-2 alongside a destroyer and with your attacking impetus provided by wide players.
