StanSP Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Wouldn't be surprised and wouldn't complain should he get banned for being racist against Frederic Kanoute at the weekend. The video evidence says it all really. http://www.canalplus.es/play/video.html?xref=20111024plucanftb_22.Ves Fabregas says the words 'puto de Negro mierda' translating as 'fvcking black shit' in English. Just not on. When the sport is trying to diminish racism, you get one of the top players in the world doing this. You should be ashamed of yourself, Cesc.
Godzilla Gorilla Pimp Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 ****. doubt anything will be done though
Guest MattP Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Spanish what do you expect. Should be punished though. As should Kanoute, no excuse for the reaction. Kanoute added on his Twitter feed: 'The issue was explained and we are both adults and aware that we were at fault yesterday. The matter is closed.' That's good though, nice to see plauers realising stuff happens in the heat of the moment and settling it like men afterwards.
StanSP Posted 25 October 2011 Author Posted 25 October 2011 Regardless of the settling of the matter, I still think Cesc should be punished. I've lost so much respect that I had for him having seen this. Kanoute had a reason for his actions. Cesc did not.

Yeah of course, you can;t say that on a pitch no mater how heated the situation has got.

If Fabregas is proved to have done that, then his club and/or the Spanish FA should fine and ban him.

I meant his actions towards Fabregas which got him sent off
Guest NGoloMode Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Kanoute made me giggle. Before all that happened he walked up to the ball after Messi put it on the spot and kicked it away. Im sure thats what sparked Fabregas.

No matter what Kanoute did, there's never any place for racism,
Simmo86 Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Cesc totally shits himself when Kanoute goes for him. Horrible little bastard
Guest Bilo Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 A racist Spanish footballer? Next you'll be telling me that there are English footballers who cheat on their wives.
Bert Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 A Spanish, Barcelona player being racist? FIFA/UEFA will probably commend him.
Thracian Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Just wondered - if a bloke attacks you like that and you respond with a single blow that kills him, would that be justifiable self-defence. And why wouldn't Kanoute be arrested for that assault? It's been established recently that you can kill a guy attempting to burgle your house. What about if he's robbing or assaulting you in your place of work? How far can people go?
Amin Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 I wonder what his teamates, especially Keita and Abidal, would think?

What about if he's robbing or assaulting you in your place of work? How far can people go? I'll keep this simple. He certainly wouldn't be guilty of murder, he'd have the defence of self-defence but only if he used reasonable force to defend himself.

lcfcadam Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 P.S. am I just shit at lip-reading or can I not match up what that video says the players are saying to their lip movements in the slightest? And I speak spanish so would've thought I'd have been able to get it quite easily...
