We know he will produce a good team he just needs time to get it right but to honest i dont think it will be much of a problem as our teams very good it just lacks guidance.

I think the play-offs are well within reach but is a lottery once there( I think auto promotion is beyond us,sorry ! ). I just hope our owners are more patient than I feel they are, that way NP will be our sought after 'Long term manager'.

I think we've had a few decent managers over the past few years that given more time could have done a good job. It's the chopping and changing that pisses me off. I think Sven should have been given longer, I know most people will disagree but I don;t even think Sousa got his chance. and ****ing Pearson - I'd much prefer it if we had stuck with him in the first place rather than get him back a year and a bit down the line! I think our fans aren't so patient though, want success straight away, as do the owners. Managers lasting seems to be a rare thing these days, yet when you look at the clubs that have really done something, most of the time it is born out a stability and the manager being given the time to do his thing. I think that's what pisses me off the most about us, it;s not the names we get it, it's the fact that nobody really gets a proper chance!

If he gets the team winning and does a good job, then he'll be safe from the sack in the long term, all that will matter then is as to whether he gets poached by a bigger club. That is part of the reason we've not really had a long term manager in quite a while, we're not big enough to keep hold of our successful managers if the big clubs come a sniffing, while those that aren't successful (Levein, Kelly, Holloway and co.) are sacked for the good of the club.

Dont get me wrong, I am a massive fan of Nige but think the owners want him in to simply get us out of this shit but unpredictable division. If / when he does get us up then they will go for the big name gaffer again. Had Sven managed us in the Prem, then he would have got those big name players to join him. Although I personally have never rated Sven. That so-called golden generation of English footballs always failed to impress at major finals. Don't agree with it but believe that is thier plan. Be interesting to see how long a contract they offer to Nige.

Money can buy the players, but they have to be nurtured, and moulded into a team, and that takes time and patience.
