Interesting read. Does anyone remember Nicolás Millan? A chilean player who was compared to Christiano Ronaldo. He was amazing on FM one year.

What about the 1000's of players that do make it?

Obviously they're not all going to become the best in the world. But Adu played for Benfica, Woods had to retire due to injury, Scott Sinclair plays in the Premiership.

Sorry but I just don't get the point of the article....Young players shouldn't take lucrative moves in case they don't succeed at the very highest level? And the closing line, "Only time will tell whether it has been money well spent but they would all be wise to learn from the experience of Michael Woods." You've said yourself Woods had to retire because of injury. I really don't get what point you're trying to make.
