Larry_LCFC Posted 15 November 2011 Author Posted 15 November 2011 Contact Fanzone Tel: 0116 229 4555 Fax: 0116 229 4549 E-Mail: [email protected] Many thanks mate. Will drop them an email tomorrow.
Larry_LCFC Posted 28 November 2011 Author Posted 28 November 2011 Emailed fanzone and they said in future to email [email protected] for this sort of thing. Thought that was a bit strange. Turns out for a PA announcement it costs £10 and an additional £10 for a big screen message. Absolutely disgusted with the club. Unncessary exploitation at its very worst. Costs them nothing and its the sort of thing the club should want to do for free for its fans. Robbing bastards.

Libertine Dream Posted 28 November 2011 Posted 28 November 2011 It has always cost but for what it is, it really isn't worth paying.
Larry_LCFC Posted 28 November 2011 Author Posted 28 November 2011 It's always cost money though... Well it shouldnt. Having ripped us off to get in, they find a need to rip people off further by charging £20 for a 5 second announcement. Its pathetic on the clubs part.
JmorsonLCFC Posted 28 November 2011 Posted 28 November 2011 i asked for my friends birthday to be read out last year and they did it for free, i emailed fanzone
Larry_LCFC Posted 28 November 2011 Author Posted 28 November 2011 i asked for my friends birthday to be read out last year and they did it for free, i emailed fanzone Fanzone werent interested in the slightest. I got a phone call from the sales desk instead asking for my credit card details. I told em where to go.

Larry_LCFC Posted 28 November 2011 Author Posted 28 November 2011 bang out of order imo that's essentially about the same price as a match ticket My thoughts exactly. Would be a really nice gesture by the club to wish their fans happy birthday for free. They come across as a fan orientated club but its all just a show. Really ****ed me off to be honest.
bjblyth Posted 29 November 2011 Posted 29 November 2011 In January I asked Stringer on Twitter if he could pull any 'strings' and got my Dads birthday announced on the PA for free! Got a call out pre-match and also at half time. He's a good bloke, give him a try @stringersport
Dan Posted 29 November 2011 Posted 29 November 2011 Leicester aren't fan-orientated in the slightest.
themotivator Posted 29 November 2011 Posted 29 November 2011 if it was free id be writing happy birthday huw jass every week... just sayin.
danny. Posted 29 November 2011 Posted 29 November 2011 if it was free id be writing happy birthday huw jass every week... just sayin. exactly, it can't be free, or even £1 as people would just abuse it completely and use it to do shout outs to their mates each week.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 29 November 2011 Posted 29 November 2011 The only people that actually give a shit about the birthday announcements are the people and friends/family of the person who's being announced. The other 20,000 don't listen or care that it's johnboy's 27th birthday. So I'm quite glad that the club is profiting from this.

lcfc_sam_p Posted 29 November 2011 Posted 29 November 2011 I've got it for free before..that was a friendly though
Corky Posted 29 November 2011 Posted 29 November 2011 Erm thats kinda the whole point of it? Why does it need to be put up on a big screen then?
foxsake Posted 29 November 2011 Posted 29 November 2011 My thoughts exactly. Would be a really nice gesture by the club to wish their fans happy birthday for free. They come across as a fan orientated club but its all just a show. Really ****ed me off to be honest. I'll do you a scaled-down version with a subbuteo/karaoke machine set-up for £5. Cash.
Larry_LCFC Posted 29 November 2011 Author Posted 29 November 2011 I'll do you a scaled-down version with a subbuteo/karaoke machine set-up for £5. Cash. You're on! Im sat in SK4.
foxsake Posted 29 November 2011 Posted 29 November 2011 You're on! Im sat in SK4. Excellent! Just cleared it with the club - they require a £45 hire fee for use of the space.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 29 November 2011 Posted 29 November 2011 Erm thats kinda the whole point of it? So why does it need to be done in a public environment in front of thousands of people who don't give a rats' ass? Why can't you say happy birthday to your friends face, or put a bedsheet on a roundabout? All it does is detract from the pre-match and half-time entertainment, when you've got the PA wittering on about who's birthday it is rather than playing music. Or how about, if you're really desperate to broadcast your friends birthday to 20,000 people who won't even be listening, you stump up the £20 for the privilege.
peterborofox Posted 29 November 2011 Posted 29 November 2011 Anyone who pays money to get a message read out is very foolish and stupid. Crazy that the club charges though.
