21st Century Fox Posted 18 November 2011 Posted 18 November 2011 Just when you thought you'd heard it all... ...They have affirmed that pizza is a vegetable. Yes, the tomato sauce on pizza is enough for American politicians to define it and allow it to be served as a vegetable in school lunch programs across the US. http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/cifamerica/2011/nov/18/pizza-vegetable-congress-says-so http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2011/11/does-pizza-deserve-to-be-a-vegetable.php Two tablesppons of heavily sugared Tomato Sauce is enough to count as a serving of vegetables!!

Rincewind Posted 19 November 2011 Posted 19 November 2011 What else can you expect off a nation where 40% of its people believe that the Earth is just 6000 years old and every word of the Bible is true.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 19 November 2011 Posted 19 November 2011 I was always led to believe most Americans were vegetables anyway

I guess it's because i grew up in a big city where we liked to disassociate ourselves from the more fatty and stupid places my great birthplace had to offer.

Jordan Posted 19 November 2011 Posted 19 November 2011 With all the sugar they add to it, it could probably be classified as a dessert too! You mean, high fructose corn syrup? Probably the most nutritious ingredient ever, as I'm sure you can tell by its name.
