SOL SOL BAMBA SOL SOL BAMBA!

Absolutely Stunning Yesterday. Seriously Stunning. Won nearly every header and well played.

Deserve to go straight back in the team for Hull.

Class performance yesterday. Stunning.

Bamba is our best player.

It annoyed me to hear on the radio after the game that Alan Young wanted the 'flair' coached out of him. **** off. Bamba is great as he is. He hasn't cost us a goal with his antics yet has he? His overall contribution more than makes up for the odd time he messes up (and usually recovers from because he is so quick). It's ridiculous that a premiership club hasn't snapped him up from us.

He was our stand out player against Madrid, making some excellent tackles on the likes of Ronaldo and we would be alot worse off without him in the team. Him and Mills compliment each other perfectly.

False.

Kasper.

Anyway, yesterday he did his usual stuff. Sorted everything out at the back and was just commanding as ever. Gave away a few silly free-kicks, but what CB's like Sol don't?

It's interesting to see that Pearson has been shown getting close to players who many, myself included, thought they wouldn't be considered "Pearson-type" players in Bamba and Beckford.

It seems that Sol is still very much in contention.

Sol Bamba - best player City has. Best player in the championship.

If we had 11 players who played with the skill, dedication and energy of Bamba we would be top of this league by a country mile.

Go see the Gally post. People will argue all day that he deserves a place in the team, but Bamba (on the occasions i have seen him) has always been our best player (with the possible exception of Schmiechel).

As has been mentioned, hi inconsitencies (however small) haven't cost us dearly yet, and though i'm sure one day they will it happens to everyone.

I even remember the legends that were walshy and elliot having some howlers.

If he leaves you just see what happens to our results!

Am the only one that thinks Bamba looks a bit like Falkor from the The Neverending story?

I think has all the attributes to become a great center half but he needs to sort out some of his decision making, he committed so many fouls in and around the box and had a couple of 'Bamba' moments which could have cost us. Fortunately Blackpool weren't good enough to punish us the other night. Hopefully Pearson can mentor him so he reduces those moment to a minimum as he would be immense.

Heskey now would. Bamba cant deal with big, strong strikers!

Heskey now would still be an asset for most Premier League teams so that's not saying much, that said I don't think Bamba would struggle as much as people think in the Preemier League

Sol Bamba's told us he's considering his options+discussing Ivory Coast career with officials at #lcfc - African Cup of Nations in January

He is off then

hmm. sure it will simply have something to do with us getting promoted/not. It was only natural for him to "consider" his options since the circumstances of the club and the manager who bought him in have changed.

i wouldn't get on his back about it.

Yeah but what is the point in Bamba considering his options we are on the right track now with NP in charge, if he wants to go then it his loss really, valuation £4-5m

Does Stringer mean he's considering leaving us or that he's considering whether or not to play in the Cup of Nations? Wasn't there talk of Bamba retiring from international football a few weeks ago? I certainly hope he stays.

yea on second reading it seems like he might just be weighing up weather it is worth him going to the african cup of nations. it is misleading how stringer tweets: "considering his options + discussing ivory coast career..." makes it seem like two separate issues.

edit.

there we go...

Ian Stringer

Correct - RT @Fergie30: when you say Bamba considering his options, you meant for the African Cup of Nations and not his Lcfc future, right

Posted

If he wants to go he can do, we are going to have a solid defence under Pearson if Bamba is here or not.

Stringer's just RT'd someone that the correct meaning of that tweet is 'considering his options' RE: African Cup of Nations.

I realise it's selfish but we need to put some pressure on him not to play to be honest, last thing we need is changing around of the defence around that time of year.
