Ambitious Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 Part of a massively improved Motherwell side, would be a good addition to the squad IMO.
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 Thracian, wherethefoxhat and colcityfan are the three muppeteers. They demonstrate this with almost every view they publish. They could even be the same person, frightening! FFS Arty...........
Happy Fox Posted 9 December 2011 Author Posted 9 December 2011 FootballRascal Football Rascal Team #LCFC are contemplating making a bid for #Motherwell winger Chris Humphrey–I can hear Pearson thinking about it right now... #NewJohnBarnes
shilton_fox Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 If pearson rates him thats enough for me can only really remember Kermit being a flop under Pearson
psychonaut Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 Sounds like another version of Lloyd Dyer. Very rapid, poor decision making, end product very suspect and confidence player. But who knows... Ive not seen him play so
volpeazzurro Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 Clubs are littered with players that are allegedly quick but it's their end product that counts! I'm being very biased I know, but there's not much good coming out of Scottish football currently, certainly none of our more recent signings pulled up any trees.
bluearmyfox23 Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 Despite me not wanting Humphrey ( sounds to alike dyer ) I reckon Pearson will move for two wingers 1 unknown ie: Humphrey but then spending big on another winger either an amazing championship winger like snodgrass or an exciting prospect like stewart ?

I think jelavic and hooper are the only players I would have in our team from the SPL ?
PaulMcCartneysLoveChild Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 Oh dear. Being a Motherwell fan as well, I've seen Humphrey play at Fir Park on quite a few occassions. He is utter mince just now. He had a real good patch quite a while ago, but he has gone right off the boil. He could do a job in the lower half of the Championship, but if we are trying for the top six or so, i think he would be a squad player at best. His pace is great, but he doesnt have the delivery to match it.
PaulMcCartneysLoveChild Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 I think jelavic and hooper are the only players I would have in our team from the SPL ? Aye, there aint many up here to be fair. I think Steve Jennings and Nicky Law are decent, but other than that, its not full of talent. In my opinion Leicester have a squad that , on their day, would challenge the top two.
Happy Fox Posted 9 December 2011 Author Posted 9 December 2011 http://www.givemefootball.com/premier-league/liverpool-face-foxes-fight-over-caribbean-winger Liverpool face Foxes fight over Caribbean winger Liverpool joined by Leicester City in race to sign Chris Humphrey By Mark Bollons December 09, 2011 Dalglish was first reported to have taken an interest in the Motherwell star back in April Liverpool face Npower Champonship competition in the race to sign winger Chris Humphrey, if reports are to be believed. The Jamaican-born 24-year-old is being tracked by recently re-appointed Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson, according to the Daily Star, with the big-spending Foxes willing to take on Barclays Premier League suitors such as the Reds, Newcastle, Sunderland and Swansea. Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish was first reported to have taken an interest in the Motherwell star back in April, with the Merseysiders thought to have been considering a summer transfer window move. Whilst a switch south of the border failed to materialise, the Reds chief is still said to have kept an interest in the player, with reports as recently as September suggesting Liverpool were still tracking his progress at Fir Park. Humphrey spent time with Walsall and West Brom as a youngster before making a senior impact with Shrewsbury Town. After three years with the Shrews, he moved to the SPL. His stock has continued to rise in Scotland, leading to some big-money links to England. Liverpool certainly have the funds at their disposal if they wish to bring the player to Anfield, spending big on strikers last January and in a variety of positions in the summer, including the wing with Stewart Downing's arrival. However, a lack of depth in the position means the Liverpool manager could look to strengthen at the next opportunity - the start of 2012 - although the Thai hierarchy at the King Power Stadium aren't afraid to splash the cash either. An interesting transfer battle could be on the horizon.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 10 December 2011 Posted 10 December 2011 Liverpool can get much better, he may be good enough for us, but he won't be good enough for them.
Happy Fox Posted 10 December 2011 Author Posted 10 December 2011 Liverpool can get much better, he may be good enough for us, but he won't be good enough for them. It surely is a testament to the lad that he is getting interest from prem clubs cannot be that bad surely I trust NP's judgement.
FrankieADZ Posted 10 December 2011 Posted 10 December 2011 I cant see Liverpool after the lad...it kinda reminds me when we had Ricky Sappleton and his was getting linked with clubs link Man Utd..Chelsea and alike when he'd not really been pulling up any trees.
PaulMcCartneysLoveChild Posted 10 December 2011 Posted 10 December 2011 He was on the bench today against St. Johnstone, I watched the nmatch. He came on about 80mins in, didn't have much time. But no. Leicester can do better!
MPH Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 He was on the bench today against St. Johnstone, I watched the nmatch. He came on about 80mins in, didn't have much time. But no. Leicester can do better! I am wondering if he has been unsettled by the recent transfer news concerning him... or just coming back from injury as i think he has played in 15-20 games for them this season i also think for Liverpool and the great kenny to be tracking him for a long period of time must mean something... and with other Prem league teams being interested in him.... Last player we got from Scotland proved a decent piece of business..... I trust Pearson and his scouting network. i.e Walshy!
PaulMcCartneysLoveChild Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 I reckon it's just paper talk, he is miles off Liverpool standard as well as Leicester. Motherwell are decent and they have some good players but none would get in the Leicester first eleven. Maybe Jennings at a push.
