Wellens has had his, failed, so give someone else a fair crack Have they actually done anything to deserve it though? You say you have been impressed with Abe, but he's blown as hot and cold as Wellens and King. I lose count of how many times he gets muscled off the ball or doesn't go in hard enough around the edge of the box and ends up costing us. He's just not this seasons scape goat (we always have one). Whilst Wellens has been out of sorts this year, only six games of those were under Pearson. Of which we have won 2, drawn 2 and lost 2 (one of which we played most of the game with 10 men). Perhaps only two of those can you can fairly look at and say we were poor. Looking at it from Pearsons perspective of only those 6 games, then I can understand him giving them a couple of more chances to sort themselves out. The warnings have been made in public and I would imagine in private, if they aren't heeded and things don't change, then the team will.

Fox92 Posted 20 December 2011 Posted 20 December 2011 If you want a 'winger', you can have Gallagher for free. I'd pay him to leave. Wellens has been a brilliant signing for us, badly needed a rest for a couple of games last Feb/Mar and hasn't looked the same player since Agree with that.

At least until he can get others in he fancies. He sees all of them in training, he doesn't need to satisfy an itch of seeming different combinations on the pitch. The fans don't see that though, which is why we end up having people screaming for changes that the manager may already have seen fail in training.

People used to moan at Sven for changing the team every game, now we're moaning at Nige for NOT changing it. My view is an extra man in midfield, switching to 4-5-1 or 3-5-2, probably with Bamba playing as the anchor in the middle, providing the other 2 centre mids room to move.
