axis of evil

dont be sorry. they have an insidious presence, promoting their own agendas and personal positions. when gallagher joined young and stringer in the commentary box, it was one of the most embarassing things i have witnessed. howard HAS to have unnatural sway to be on the bench of a want to be top six team. wellens is consistently poor and we are led to believe that he now has a day off training. it worries me that pearson has alligned himself with this group, at the expense of common sense and obvious reason.

Wellens & Konchesky don't train as often as everyone else... it's age... not a day off

Take your agenda & do one, there's enough threads criticising individuals without starring new ones every 2 mins

How does your axis of evil explain any 2 from Mills/Bamba/SSL WILL be GUARANTEED to leave an opposing player unmarked in our box that leads to at least 1 goal conceded every single game... or how does it explain that Beckford us an embarrassment, or that today even Nugent was.

Win as a team, lose as a team... the only players consistently performing at the required level are Kasper & Peltier... Nuge and Konchesky are passable, everyone else is shit-to-poor... blaming 1 or 2 because it suits your agenda is pointless when 9 1st teamers aren't top 2 material.

I'm confused.

are you implying that we're going to sign Ashley Young? Then put Howard in midfield?

Edit: OHHHH

I get it now. Alan Young, Howard, Wellens and Gally are evil. gotchya

it's at best passable if you're training less but still performing (konchesky), but less training with poor performances is an incredibly bizarre thing to advocate, surely?

I have no agenda, I just think Wellens performs particularly poorly, but still manages to play weekly, and when he blamed the attackers and defenders in the post match interview the other week, it reminded me of a blinkered, deluded despot.

Gallagher is passable, could be dropped, but probably won't because he obviously gets on well with nige, and young will defend them and Howard to the death, flying in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

I agree with you, many new players aren't performing consistently, but nige's old favourites are performing consistently. consistently poor.

you really are a twat aren't you and it's people like you who fail to see the facts. our defence is under constant pressure because we have a failing midfield, the Ipswich goal could have been avoided had wellens challenged for the ball on the edge of the area but he didn't go up for the header

couldn't agree more.

I absolutely agree that the back five is put under sooo much pressure because defensively, our midfield are lightweight. Ive been saying this for weeks and weeks and want to see a big bloke in the middle of the park.

However, this axis of evil stuff is pants.

I don't think there's any conspiracy theory going on here, I simply reckon that Pearson is tinkering with the team in an effort to improve it.

Wellens doesn't run the team, Pearson and his henchmen do... And I won't be shocked if Nige considers dropping wellens soon. Abe today was better than Ritchie and Pearson would have seen that himself.

Some of Pearsons 'old guard' I reckon, will go to make way for some fresh faces.. In the same way as Nige will bin some of Svens signings.

I trust that Nige is plotting in this respect as we speak and he is not gonna play anyone who he don't think is good enough because HIS job is very much on the line.

We need a shake up because presently we are fookin awful..

...or Bamba or Abe, both of them failed to challenge after that, Kasper could have claimed the ball too, and I think it was Mills who failed to clear when he had the chance.

please don't think that I think that all svens signings are world beaters who aren't getting the chance, they aren't. but my questions are thusly:

1. honestly, what do Wellens and Gallagher have to do to get dropped?

2. would you play Howard for 90 minutes, let alone have him on the bench?

3. would a player who asked to play in a reserve game, score 4 goals, not manage to get a chance ahead of Wellens and King?

Why is there this divide between Sven's signings and Pearson's old guard, they are all Leicester players, I think Wellens has become terrible and deserves to be dropped, Schlupp deserves a chance, but I would always make room in my team for Gally.

I thought Gally had a good game today, played in some quality crosses and 1 or 2 good deliveries from corners too, the problem is no one attacked them

1. Wellens should be dropped for anyone - Danns, Johnson, Fernandes, Abe, King, Moussa - not like we're short of players that could do a better job.

3. I'm sorry, are you actually suggesting that if a player asked to play a reserve game for anything other than love of the club then he should not get a chance? Because if you are then you need to go ahead and replace the captain of your brain ship, 'cause he's drunk at the wheel.

Big Steve made a difference in the 6 minutes he was given today. 3 flick-ons leading to 3 decent opportunities. How Beckford has escaped your evil axis is beyond me. The guy offers nothing. 6ft2 and more often than not he doesn't even bother to get up for headers. Like cc said, the guy is a total embarrassment.

are you a bloody idiot? since when did "offering something" rely on winning headers, actually watch him and the runs he makes which the likes of Nugent constantly ignore instead trying to be Leo Messi, who incidentally, would of played in Beckford, he never been a center forward to win headers and play with his back to goal, he can, if played to his chest hold up play, but he wants to be played in to run onto a 1 on 1 with the keeper but the morons in our side won't play that pass often or early enough

Beckford has escaped the 'axis of evil' because of a ridiculous divide which has happened with our

'fans' on here between Pearson's 'old guard' and Sven's signings.

It seems that Richie Wellens is attributed with the demise of first Sousa, then Sven and now is somehow 'controlling' Pearson and his coaching team to pick him to play when they really

shouldn't.

This implies many things including:

1. That both Sousa and Sven were both such pussies that they couldn't control Wellens ( and, moreover, continued to play him in their teams).

2. That Pearson and Walshy themselves are sucking up to Richie Wellens and daren't drop him from their team?

3. That, however good Fernandes may be, he

won't have a chance because of the above...

4. That all 3 managers were happy to risk their careers by playing Wellens when they shouldn't have done because they 'couldnt' drop him..

Therefore, either Wellens has so much control over 3 separate managers that this makes him 'undroppable'...

OR that this theory is a big bag of shite and 3 consecutive managers play or have played Wellens because they actually think he's still the best we have in his position?

Either agree with 'Shade' and the conspiracy theory?

OR accept the latter...

I'll let you be the judge....

IMO Leicester City's players whether new or old are still all Leicester City players.

In the example of Beckford I'd love it if he was scoring goals and not looking like a cvnt every time he plays. But he ain't and he does. I would say exactly the same if he had been a Pearson signing.. Exactly the same

I don't think i said it 'relies on getting up for headers' I was just making the point that to my mind things like that typify his attitude and performance. I could have gone on to say that with the ball at his feet he seems to lack either the intelligence to know what to do or the ability to actually do anything worthwhile. Maybe both.

Not saying that, just saying don't bum him because he played in a reserve game when he wanted to play because scouts were coming to watch him. The rumours were he spat his dummy out when Sven got sacked, and he wants out, Pearson wants him out, so lets just forget about him, and Johnson. No point playing him if he isn't going to be with us much longer.

young - wellens - howard - gallagher.

Add King and Dyer to that mix too..

Gallagher had a reasonable game yesterday, even putting over some decent crosses. But that still doesn't justify his regular disappearing act in away games (with the notable exception of Burnley - wonder why?)

All of the clique need to be bombed out of the club. If Young whinges about this in the Mercury or on the radio then tough.

Why have so many players with good club and international track records struggled to settle at City during the past 18 months?

Could it be that certain elements fear for their futures and thus plot against the new arrivals?

There are double standards at play. Some players can be dropped after one bad performance (both Sven and Pearson have done this) while others can have a string of shockers (like Bellend) and yet still be protected. Is it any wonder that the likes of Fernandes or Danns should feel resentful?

it's not a conspiracy theory as such, and i'm not quite deluded enough yet to believe that these players are actually plotting amongst themselves. what I do believe is that Gallagher, Wellens and Howard are strong personalities, they will speak up, voice opinions, and essentially manipulate the atmosphere. couple that with out of touch young supporting them and slating others like Bamba at every turn, and it does become a strong core, almost union like in it's power.

are you honestly telling me col city fan, that businesses and organisations don't have power groups that hold undue sway, and are adept at manipulating the direction of movement? im fantasising now, granted, but I can almost see Howard, Wellens and gally, walking along with Pearson on the way to training having a good old friendly laugh with their old buddy Nige, on the way to becoming almost undroppable.
