Yep, fell for the con that attracting players and playing good attacking football, whilst being open and honest with the press and fans and keeping them informed, making everyone feel part of the journey including the youth team etc etc...

Of course it's much better now we have Nigel .... OK a bit dull in terms of what we hear from the club, the football we play, there's little feel good factor and the first team is the only team, oh and Howard is out of retirement, as is the long diagonal sunday league ball.... but hey look at the RESULTS!!!!! We could even be back where Sven left us by the end of the year. we may even sign a player in this transfer window!!!!

Not bitter ... just sad that we have nothing better to talk about than the sort of shite that i was expecting when NP was recruited. Boring football, no signings nearly half way in to the transfer window .... I've just read over a page of bickering about how to divide a month into segments ..... My point is that we wouldn't have had that conversation with someone that has charisma, ambition and the pull factor for bringing in new players.

As far as I'm concerned I see NO reason why suitable players should not want to sign for Leicester City Football Club

We have money to pay good contracts, a lovely stadium, a good managerial team, a great fan base and the nucleus of a decent squad.

Just give it time and we will see what Pearson and the boys can bring in.

Don't be surprised if its not many signings though. The Jan transfer window is notorious for clubs not wanting to sell.

If he gets the time, which I think he will, Pearson will sort this squad out mainly in the summer.

The away win at Palace showed a bit of spirit coming back to the squad, but in the 18m NP was away a lot was coached out of them, so it's going to take time & signings... Remember "If I can't change players mentality, I'll change the players"

i was one crying out for it not to be np coming back but hes here now so im behind him and i can see the BS deal was not a usual "wana come to our club" thing. .the guy has had a lot to deal with recently and so was always giong to take some consideration, not because he thought any less of our club but just for his own reasons...

Not me ... I can remember standing in the Kop watching David Pleat's sides with around 7000 others in the whole ground .... and believe me that was poor football ...and you know what .... I was more excited then than now. At least we had the prospect of something changing and us improving ... NP hasn't got the clout to bring in players and hasn't got the charisma to motivate. I was a big fan of him first time around but things moved when we got the Thais in and Sven, but we're undergoing a process of going backwards and re-adjusting our expectations down again. the simple fact is that under SGE i was optimistic, under NP i'm bored.

I hate the dross long ball style of football that he's brought back.

Personally I liked Sven's football .... the ball spent most of the time on the turf. But hey if you prefer hoofball then you must be in nirvana right now.

Back to the original post ... I'd therefor have preferred to have MH, because i didn't know what to expect - there was at least a chance of not being bored, there isn't with NP.

I'm happy with the choice of pearson as manager. we should move on from debating this topic cuz it is done now and pearson will be the boss for the considerable future weather we like it or not but I would have gone for jones. on the basis of he would be fresh championship exp and he is a free agent would have been cheaper as well but like I said its done now I'm v happy with pearson.
