Guest Col city fan Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Bloody Hell this thread has gone on a bit As far as I'm concerned I see NO reason why suitable players should not want to sign for Leicester City Football Club We have money to pay good contracts, a lovely stadium, a good managerial team, a great fan base and the nucleus of a decent squad. Just give it time and we will see what Pearson and the boys can bring in. Don't be surprised if its not many signings though. The Jan transfer window is notorious for clubs not wanting to sell. If he gets the time, which I think he will, Pearson will sort this squad out mainly in the summer.
Jace Posted 11 January 2012 Author Posted 11 January 2012 Was he here shopping or visiting relatives then? Interviews were not carried out in Leicester Well a few people had said he was spotted staying at the Hilton? Since you know the location of the interviews are you able to share with us what happened or is that all you know?
flowwolf Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 He and poxy QPR are going down quicker than a whores gobbling contest.
Chrysalis Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Well there has been no official announcement that we have signed or loaned anybody so surely its fair enough to assume we haven't? I don't think I am dwelling on it I did make it very clear I am happy with Pearson as our manager but this is a forum about Leicester City which is here to discuss our thoughts which was my only intention I agree. NP himself made it clear we need signings, yet here we are middle of jan with none. He wouldnt deliberatly wait till the end of month to sign players.
Happy Fox Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 I agree. NP himself made it clear we need signings, yet here we are middle of jan with none. He wouldnt deliberatly wait till the end of month to sign players. I also think you need to remember that this month is notoriously difficult one to get players in unless we want to be mugged, and even more difficult to get rid of the deadwood, best we hope for is a couple of a loans till the end of the season, and then another summer rebuild.
m00nie Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 I agree. NP himself made it clear we need signings, yet here we are middle of jan with none. He wouldnt deliberatly wait till the end of month to sign players. 31/2 = 12???
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 No. I am happy with Nigel, but people seem to forget he is currently working with Sven's inbalanced squad. Absolutely. Sven has actually still having an impact on our squad with all the deadwood we have at it. Poor manager, and NP is slowly turning it around.
Head Honcho Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Absolutely. Sven has actually still having an impact on our squad with all the deadwood we have at it. Poor manager, and NP is slowly turning it around. Yet Martin O'Neill seemed to turn around Steve Bruce's squad around in minutes!
scllns8 Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 No chance I don't think he's experienced enough in the championship
Babylon Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Yet Martin O'Neill seemed to turn around Steve Bruce's squad around in minutes! Shame Martin O'Neill, one of the best managers of the modern game, would not join a club languishing in the championship isn't it.

Babylon Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 1/3 beginning of the month 2/3 middle of the month 3/3 end of the month Are you suggesting we are two thirds of the way through the month?
Jace Posted 12 January 2012 Author Posted 12 January 2012 Are you suggesting we are two thirds of the way through the month? No I am telling you we are in the middle third of the month, two thirds of the way through the month would be at the end of the 2nd third not at the beginning wouldn’t it Babylon? Really surprised I had to explain that to you to be honest
steveherbe Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Could of, should of, why, why not. but what if. WHAT'S DONE IS DONE MOVE ON!!! Could HAVE, should HAVE!! FFS does no-one on here know the difference? Could of and should of are incorrect. Bloody Leicester people, can't you speak the language? (Sorry, but using OF instead of HAVE is my pet hate)

Really surprised I had to explain that to you to be honest But being in the middle third of the month, does not make it the middle of the month. The middle of the month is the 15th / 16th, which is exactly what Moonie (with his tongue in his cheek) pointed out to the person who said it was the middle of Jan... when it isn't. For some reason you then decided to turn the month into fractions and split it into three, in a rather pointless exercise of trying to make it actually the middle of the month. Thankfully the months are supplied to us already split into fractions. Currently we are 12/31 of the way through the month. ie. not the middle. Could HAVE, should HAVE!! FFS does no-one on here know the difference? Could of and should of are incorrect. Bloody Leicester people, can't you speak the language? (Sorry, but using OF instead of HAVE is my pet hate) Blame the accent.

The reason I split the month into 3 fractions was because we were debating over what is considered the beginning, middle and end. In my line of business it would quite normal and correct to refer to the 14th and 17th for example the middle of the month but now you have corrected me and made me aware it is only the 15th and 16th of the month that can be considered the middle. I will now refer to the 14th as the beginning and the 17th as the end of the month. Thankyou Babylon yet again

5waller5 Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 This thread .... and us arguing about fractions is a sad indictment of NP. It simply wouldn't have existed under Svennis.
Jace Posted 12 January 2012 Author Posted 12 January 2012 but then in february you would be wrong again as the 14th would be the middle Oh dear...
cc_star Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 This thread .... and us arguing about fractions is a sad indictment of NP. It simply wouldn't have existed under Svennis. Why, because everyone fell for the con?
cc_star Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Yet Martin O'Neill seemed to turn around Steve Bruce's squad around in minutes! You could make a starting 11 out of Bruce's squad though, they were just under-performing, whilst our was under-performing & completely & totally imbalanced
5waller5 Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Why, because everyone fell for the con? Yep, fell for the con that attracting players and playing good attacking football, whilst being open and honest with the press and fans and keeping them informed, making everyone feel part of the journey including the youth team etc etc... Of course it's much better now we have Nigel .... OK a bit dull in terms of what we hear from the club, the football we play, there's little feel good factor and the first team is the only team, oh and Howard is out of retirement, as is the long diagonal sunday league ball.... but hey look at the RESULTS!!!!! We could even be back where Sven left us by the end of the year. we may even sign a player in this transfer window!!!!
