Should Mark Hughes have been chosen ahead of Nigel Pearson?

Well this season when there has been Premiership/SPL targets it has been speculated that they do not want to step down to Championship level and decent Championship players have not been interested as we not pushing for promotion. Off the top of my head Yakubu, Nikica Jelavic, Andros Townsend and Nicky Maynard.

Do you really think its easy for the club to bring in premiership/top championship standard players when most of these players are already playing at clubs currently above us?

1) they was SPECULATIONS as you say..

2) they was in the summer before NP was even here..

3) you have said we are struggling to bring in players with NP, yet you dont know whats happening, who he wants, who hes approached, and are now talking about players from when SVEN was here..

Why would we want Hughes? What's he ever done of note as a manager?

And more to the point, what's he ever done as a manager in THIS division... Sven's the prime example... you can be the best around and still fail in the Championship. Pearson's already proved he can hack it down here.

i seem to have more a grasp on reality of the matter than you do ;)

Is that why your avatar features a weed smoking care bear stuck in the matrix?

Martin O Neill wasn't interested but Mark Hughes was spotted on several occasions around Leicester for a 2 week spell and was staying at the Hilton so he must of had some interest in the job surely? I don't think money would of been an issue either if the

Raksriaksorns were to of made Hughes their first choice

Spot on. He was having lunch with Elvis and was also spotted doing the funky chicken down Belgrave Road.

why does it???

you keep saying were struggling to sign players, people aint interested in us.. based on what???

Billy sharp whos had a COUPLE OF DAYS to think about the move, after all his personaly stuff hes had recently thats fk all, even then for all we know the agent n club have still been communicating

cameron stewart whos bid has been said to be under his clubs valuation, which isnt the player turning us down..

theres 2/3 weeks left yet of the transfer window..

Simple really .... NP has stated pretty openly that he wants to get some new players in... he, along with anyone with half a brain can see that he has limited time to get success, otherwise he'll be next to be fired quickly .... it's 11th Jan, and we've signed noone.

NP's desperation to sign his own squad members hasn't gone away .... but 11 days of a very short season (when you have a board with short patience (around 13 games)) has. It follows for me that we are therefore not finding it easy to sign the players we want.

Who did you make a comparison to again when I mentioned we hadn't officially signed anyone? Nigel Pearson to Sir Alex Ferguson yeah?

Took Blackburn from relegation strugglers to the top six.

Kept Fulham comfortable in the top half after Hodgson left.

He was never going to join us, all academic.

transfers dont happen in a day... they seem to be chasing there targets, billy sharp seems like it could happen any day, if hes one of his main priorites thats hardly struggling is it...

didnt sven have some of last season also?? didnt he spend millions?? this and last.. bit more to it than just 13 games..

because your trying to say because no one has signed yet that means we are struggling with NP as manager..

We should have stolen a consignment of Gold and got Martin O'Neill at all costs, however we need to get behind NP now he is here

I don't think it was about money. Doubt O'Neill would've come back even if we'd made him a massive offer. If we'd been in the Prem it might have been different.

No I haven't? I said we are struggling to sign players not we are struggling with NP as manager 2 different things.....

No they don't happen in a day ... well that's not entirely true - they often take a day on transfer deadline day .... BUT, the transfer window isn't a surprise - it's not unveiled randomly to shock everyone .... it opens on jan 1st and you can do all the prep necessary before then. NP signed two players on Jan 1st last year.

And the second point .... It's my opinion that we are struggling to sign players under NP, yes. And if you meant on the pitch?? No we're doing amazingly well under Pearson - he's simply amazing and a God... We've only fallen 5 or 6 places since sacking the last bloke and getting someone in to motivate the current squad!!!!

We know Hughes was in talks with the Raksriaksorns and was seen on numerous occasions around Leicester in the couple of weeks after Sven yet many of felt he may of been challenged with Championship football and not as knowledgeable as Pearson.

Was he here shopping or visiting relatives then?

Interviews were not carried out in Leicester
