Guy Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 Its true, we are the missing link...The problem is we have fans that wont do it! On new years day I experienced something I never have at a football match, I was doing a few chants and I started to chant Get in to em' **** em up.. and a lady turned round and gave me the dirtiest look, as if to say shut up, It's football love, not a class room. Yes ticket prices are pretty steep but for how long are we going to use that excuse, instead of moaning about it, raise the roof, lift the players and give them something to inspire them, after all they are just human beings like you and I..... These snobby ladies wouldn't have even been in the crowd 15-20 years ago - that's a lot to do with why the present day atmosphere at matches has been killed in, the family atmosphere is as much to blame as the all seated stadia mentality.
Gold Coast Fox Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 Exactly, I can remember when we played Birmingham at home on a tuesday night in the Championship, think it might have been the 2006/2007 season when they had the likes of Clemence, Bentdner and N Gotty. Anyway, the atmosphere in the 2nd half from our fans was absolutely superb, we were a shit side back then and we nearly got it back to 2-2 against a side who eventually went up. That was the game that turned me into a leicester fan

lestajigs Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 FA Cup 3rd round replay vs Man City in 2004. 18k or so there, with about 2/3k being Man City fans. The atmosphere in our end that night was one of the best I can recall at the Walkers/KP. No reason why the atmosphere can't be decent tomorrow. Also, if anything, the ridiculously massive, empty away end will help cluster people together a bit more. I think j3 will be a cracking atmosphere tomorrow

leicesterseddon Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 I think all fans going to the Forest game should do all they can to create an electric atmosphere and all get behind the team. This will hopefuly make the players step up. I can't help but think that we the fans have something to do with our terrible home record, I say this as the KP is like a cemetery, let's try and make it a coldron. Come on you blue boys I can't help but think it's to do with our shocking recruitment policy, that's seen us piss nearly £12m up the wall on incompetent mercenaries. I think our backing in terms of numbers (both home and away) has been excellent this season given the fact we've not won two games back to back yet and people are tight for money. As for creating atmosphere...well, we all know it's not great - but then again, where is these days on any sort of consistent basis?
sphericalfox Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 I do hope we don't get to the point where we are signing this song. Time for a bit of patience methinks. ...sounds like 'knock'
