Cecchini1976 Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 I think all fans going to the Forest game should do all they can to create an electric atmosphere and all get behind the team. This will hopefuly make the players step up. I can't help but think that we the fans have something to do with our terrible home record, I say this as the KP is like a cemetery, let's try and make it a coldron. Come on you blue boys
jonlcfc1990 Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 ... With Half the stadium empty? Due to forest taking all the tickets and only selling 1k and our own stadium giving up a whole block for "segregation" not to mention all the PAPs watching it on ESPN

It's NEVER full, or hasn't been this season. We need to give the players a lift!

Leicester Bob Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 Finally a positive post (of sorts) have a like my friend. everyone at this football club can do something to influence our season for the better, lets stop the constant moaning and scapgoating, roll our sleeves up and batter Forest on Tuesday. Up the City!

Up the City! We are all positive, we all sing, but the player's give nothing back. Ok, we need to lift the players, but they need to give us something back. After all, we have watched some very poor performances this season. It works two ways.
1964FOX Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 I thought we did get bhind them at the start of the second half even after a poor first half display but that didnt seem to help however you are totally correct that we should sing our hearts out. As the ground wil be half enpty we need to identify those near us who want to sing and try to group together to coordinate the noise. One of the best atmospheres we had in the last couple of years was at a cup match and there were only about 8000 in total in the stadium as I recall. I agree it's time to move on get back to the business of supporting our team no matter how good or bad they are.
BrummieFOX Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 Also agree. There was a good 15minutes at the start of the 2nd half where we got behind the team in the 2nd half, mainly due to the old kopites who sit half way down SK1 who all stood up and belted out a few old chants, but it was great. However, I realised that pretty much during every song the team misplaced an easy pass or wasted a chance and so the songs were cut short because of a collective groan which eventually killed the atmosphere. We need something to change anyway because home games at the minute are so depressing!!
crisp packet Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 It's a good shout and a positive post , but I feel it will be the lowest crowd ever at the k.p.... With this cold weather , performances , paying (for tkts) and on tv it will be an embarrassing gate , I feel!!!

Callabinho Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 Its true, we are the missing link...The problem is we have fans that wont do it! On new years day I experienced something I never have at a football match, I was doing a few chants and I started to chant Get in to em' **** em up.. and a lady turned round and gave me the dirtiest look, as if to say shut up, It's football love, not a class room. Yes ticket prices are pretty steep but for how long are we going to use that excuse, instead of moaning about it, raise the roof, lift the players and give them something to inspire them, after all they are just human beings like you and I.....

I know it works to way and perfomances have been terrible lately but we can all do our bit to lift the negative, sense of impending doom hanging over the club!
FuriousFox46 Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 So they're paid thousands of pounds a week to get results. and we have to pay hundreds of pounds a year too and sing until our throats bleed, otherwise they are unable to do their job properly? Perfectly reasonable.
nffc1 Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 You don't need to chant. You've won, we're awful.
1964FOX Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 You don't need to chant. You've won, we're awful. I have heard you are going to sing 'we're Nottingham Forest, we'll sing what we like'' any truth in this?
Swalker Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 Same again. As the players are coming out lets all do the poznan. Let the players know we're behind them :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

Sharmania Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 I'm 100% behind this. I for one refused to "boo" my own team on Saturday and I really think this is a great idea! Just let them know we are still here and we do still love them.
Craig Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 FA Cup 3rd round replay vs Man City in 2004. 18k or so there, with about 2/3k being Man City fans. The atmosphere in our end that night was one of the best I can recall at the Walkers/KP. No reason why the atmosphere can't be decent tomorrow. Also, if anything, the ridiculously massive, empty away end will help cluster people together a bit more.

Remember just wanting either team to score just so it didn't go into extra-time. Lost 3-1 in end but it was a cracking atmosphere for such a poor game along with the cold night.

Exactly, I can remember when we played Birmingham at home on a tuesday night in the Championship, think it might have been the 2006/2007 season when they had the likes of Clemence, Bentdner and N Gotty. Anyway, the atmosphere in the 2nd half from our fans was absolutely superb, we were a shit side back then and we nearly got it back to 2-2 against a side who eventually went up.

Great escape non-stop for what seemed like 45 minutes. Good times.
