Can't Survive on £26k a Year Benefit

“This tax credits bombshell is now just a few weeks away. For many families here in Leicester it means going out to work won’t pay and they’ll be better off on benefits. That makes no economic sense at all. The government urgently needs to think again. In my Constituency of Leicester South alone there will be over 1,200 couples who could lose out because of this change to tax credits, which will affect the 2,910 children who live in these households.”

Do the Government not actually think about what they are doing, how can you justify this, utter utter cretins.

So are you blaming the govt or the BoE?

QE is carried out by the Bank of England, it is not a policy of the government. I do not blame the bank for implementing such a strategy - it's a shame they need to and it has been brought about by the wholesale incompetance of those in office.

Not checked out my Tax Credits situation yet. Jobcentre gave me a form to fill in. Advisor done most of it I just need to find last years tax and my last payslip. Had a clearout and tidy up so hope I haven't binned them. Advisor said I'd be better off but she would say that, they want me off JSA to make the unemployment figures look better.

But only had a quick look at that report, they only mentioned couples.

Whatever, I'm a mod now and above such matters.

I spoke to a couple of roadsweepers last week and said I had not been offered work since the new year and they said the council had made a lot of cutbacks and not hiring so many temp staff so how can part timers increase their hours?

Typical Tory - once in power the true uncaring attitude comes to the fore.

Now I'm betting it's all cash for questions and dreaming up ways to make the little man cry.

It's one rule for the poor person under this government and totally another for the rich banker chums of Camertwat.

Not sure what this has to do with benefits, but both articles go to show what utter scumfvcks banks are, in the bbc article Barclays say they are surprised because every other bank is doing it, well lets get them ****ers as well.

I really am starting to despair, such utter greed, did you see the numbers being bandied around, one guy was earning 40m a year for diddlying the tax man, insane.

Excuse me I'll have you know I'm a typical Tory and as brutally uncaring when out of power as in.

Don't tar us all with Cameron's new "Liberal Conservatives" nonsense, some of us are still true to the roots.
