Targetman Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 After our last two performances where do people think we need to improve? Thoughts please
burni Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Providing there no more serious injuries and we dont sell anyone i think theres two areas we need to work on. Wingers, i think we need atleast one maybe two additional wingers to go along with dyer. Forwards, need a target man
mod hero Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 We were excellent yesterday but our squad is quite thin. We have to keep ssl he is a better player than mills imo. A new right winger for gally is priority.
Targetman Posted 24 January 2012 Author Posted 24 January 2012 I think two wingers and probably a striker as delfonseo is only on loan
mod hero Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Vardy, marshall and snograss might just see us into the top six
jonlcfc1990 Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Lets not think we're done here at the end of the day we've bought a CM which with Johnson, Fernandes and Abe leaving left us short and a month loan Striker we still need to bolster up our mid and possible Striking options with Schlupp gone depending on Waghorns return. I think we need atleast two more wingers to replace Gally and Dyer for rest purposes and i'd dip in for Vardy or atleast another striker as for defence? If SSL stays we are sitting green with Konch Kennedy Moore Bamba SSL Mills Peltier and Pantsil But a cheeky £1mil for Morgan would be interesting
cc_star Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 We need younger lads to come though in different areas of the pitch Currently Moore & Taft have been involved in matchday squads, but no sign of this strength in the middle or up-front As for signings, right side of midfield is an obvious point, but as players come back from injury, regain fitness we don't want a bloated squad again so some will still need to leave.
Tielemans63 Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 A right and left winger, although I can't see us getting both. I think Gally is very much a favourite. I still think a target man, for when games become physical and attritional, is also a must. Jukebox has just joined Boro for a mill - he'd have been a good signing for us.
dannyjpage Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 The right is where we need to strengthen most. Someone with pace that will take people on and whip good balls in.
Guest Col city fan Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 We need wings Give em all Red Bull before the game?
Guest Col city fan Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 I'm not sure we need to go out and spend a lot more money. We need shape, determination and a better work ethic. Which seems to be coming..... We really have a squad which should be able to compete at this level. If pushed, I'd say we now need a nippy right winger... Someone young with a point to prove. Who can beat a full back with pace I'd leave Lloyd Dyer in the side....

Blueforever Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Based on last nights performance we need a winger a decent plan B target man like Heskey and cover for Drinkwater
paddy Agyemang Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Wings and a random player that Pearson wants
marbelladave Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Ideally...... 1) We need a target man, someone who can lead the line when we need to play with just one man up. 2) An experienced defensive midfielder, if we are going to continue to press upfield than we need someone to mop up in front of our central defenders. 3) An attacking midfielder who can play out wide, not necessarily an out and out winger though.
marbelladave Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Would Cotterill fit as Number 3? Maybe, he is the right sort of player but I can not recall ever seeing him play.......
