Reminds me of the League 1 glory days. Lower league fans (no disrespect intended) have so much more class than those at Championship or Premiership level.

They did themselves and their league proud. No doubts at all that they'll get promoted.

well said, yes i agree there seems an arrogance about most clubs at our level and above (including us at times) but when you are down in the lower two leagues (as we were only 3 seasons ago) perhaps a sense of level headedness comes back to you

I was in the family stand, as usual, and some of their 'fans' were very close to the Foxes fans.

I'm sorry to disagree but the 'I'm going to slit your throat' gestures, and general aggressive unpleasant knuckle dragger behaviour of the fake Burberry capped pricks in those parts left me feeling nothing but disgust.

I know every club has it's wallys, but it was wallys as far as the eye could see from where I was sitting.

Every club has it's wallys as you say. We have a 'disabled' element who watch a bit too much Football Factory.

They'll get a right hiding sooner or later when they gob off at the wrong place. It's ok giving it the big I am at Burton Albion but do that at Stoke and they'll get their just deserves.

Great stadium by the way and decent stewards.

Things look to be on the up all of a sudden, let us now forget the first half of the season and continue this run, hallmarks of this time last year January-February 2011.

Glad to see a relatively makeshift City team make pretty easy work in the end of a decent Swindon outfit and of course if ever we were in doubt then Schmeichel was there. They did miss one sitter though, very reminiscent of Forest's miss from point blank range in the replay infact! Sound like a sporting bunch anyway, Paulo incuded! Onwards and upwards we hope. Could do without either Liverpool or Spurs in round 5 though!

"Makeshift" was meant to mean "mediocre" in my previous post, as we had our first team choice out yesterday, by and large really!

Yes, to echo the sentiments the Swindon fans on here have been excellent, integrating themselves and our fans return with the compliments and good debate.

Refreshing.

You had more quality in the areas it mattered, plus scored the second goal at exactly the right time.

I was encouraged by our first half response. I feared the early goal might be the start of a rout. The composure when we got into good areas wasn't quite there though.

Still no complaints. And we can both go to Wembley. Us in the mighty jpt, you in the tin pot FA cup that we never wanted to win anyway:-)

And we are officially twice as good as Forest. Fact.

You're a hell of a lot more than twice as good as Forest I can assure you! lol

I signed up just to reply to this thread.

Well done for getting through to the next round, I really hope you go all the way now (and not just so we can say we got knocked out by the Cup Winners). I'm certain that many STFC fans would agree.

Apart from a few hand gestures towards our supporters coaches on the way in (The usual type of thing) your fans came across well and the post match comments on here also reflect this.

I think we played well (as we often seem to when we play decent sides) and if you'd not hit us so hard early on then it *might* have been different. But you were the better side on the day and you deserved the win. Kasper Schmeichel has clearly picked up a lot from his dad, he looked really good.

Your stadium is really nice and the only thing I was slightly disappointed about was no alcohol being served and the Police escorted our supporters coaches in so late (on purpose) so we couldn’t go to the pubs but clearly this isn't the club's fault.

Oh, and you don't want Matt Ritchie, he's rubbish, not good enough for you, probably best if he stays at Swindon ;)

Anyway, I genuinely wish you all the best in the Championship and I will be following you in the FA Cup now.

Hi there,

Just landed back home after a great weekend in Leicester and London.

Firstly the football - I really enjoyed it, we started badly and Beckford finished well. We then started to get some posession and thought we played well. Ritchie and Caddis stood out for me. Unfortunately for us your CB partnership was very strong and dealt with all that we threw at you.

Second half was killed by another poachers finish from Beckford and the game was just about over after that. You looked more dangerous in the box and as others have said, we didn't have a killer instinct, and Mills and St Ledger dealt brilliantly with everything.

Overall a great day out at a new stadium, and despite the fact we lost, wasn't too downheartened as we can now concentrate on the league.

Must say i enjoyed my evening out in Leicester as well. Had an absolutely fabulous meal at the Kayal, which I would recommend to everyone, it was the nicest Indian I have probably ever had. Myself and my missus then went to a few nice pubs, but the one that sticks out is the King Richard 3rd! Rougher than a sandpaper factory. Quickest pint in history there!!

Anyway, good luck to the Foxes in the next round and going forward in the Championship, you look a good side and hope that you get back to the Premiership.
