boosmanana Posted 3 July 2005 Posted 3 July 2005 it may sound good, but if you translate the website, it actually says that there is a clerical error
davieG Posted 3 July 2005 Posted 3 July 2005 From those Cunning Foxes: Nils Eric Johansson to City ! 02.07.2005 - The Cunning Fox According to Swedish website svt.se Blackburn's released defender Nils Eric Johansson has accepted terms with Leicester City. "Nisse" is a Swedish international with a difficult time behind him at Ewood Park. Rob Kelly knows this lad from the past and he played a lot in the reserves. At the same time he has managed to be involved at international level. Joined Blackburn from Nuremberg back in 2001 and has since then played 86 league games. Nisse is a good player and can operate both at left back and central defence. He was brought up in Bayern Munich and he played twice for the German giants before he moved to Nuremburg. He's been capped four times and he has been in and out of the Swedish squad in the past four years. A good player with Premiership quality. Looks as a good signing and hopefully he can be a succesfull player at City. Still only 25 and a very interesting signing. Source
Thracian Posted 3 July 2005 Posted 3 July 2005 I will wait until he's actually signed before passing comment, you can never trust LCFC with these things until you actually see him at the press conference 131103 Don't be so pessimistic. Swedish newspapers tend to be more circumspect than ours. If it's in print there you can take it as true. Sounds like the full-back slots are sorted!
Durnerz Posted 3 July 2005 Posted 3 July 2005 Good signing IMO. Looked very good in our cup game and he's versatile, not old either, if its true, nice one Levein.
Libertine Posted 3 July 2005 Posted 3 July 2005 Yes, I'll be very happy if this happens, he looks a roughnut, but he's never been sent off so that shows he can control his temper and eagerness, unlike another left sided player we have.
Collymore Posted 3 July 2005 Posted 3 July 2005 Jesus Christ, I'm happy with this if this is true, Stewart out and quality in in the same week I'm really getting excited for the new season
Durnerz Posted 3 July 2005 Posted 3 July 2005 If he does come we'll now have a left sided player capable of playing in the Premiership should we get there.
casabian Posted 3 July 2005 Posted 3 July 2005 If we have got Johansson its a great signing and a player to replace jordan stewart
rossporterlc Posted 3 July 2005 Posted 3 July 2005 sounds like a good buy, nice to see some players coming in
Bluefoxtim Posted 3 July 2005 Posted 3 July 2005 http://boards.rovers.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=6002 a few views from blackburn fans.
Steven Posted 3 July 2005 Author Posted 3 July 2005 http://boards.rovers.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=6002a few views from blackburn fans. 131218 I think they see him as a centre half.
Gené and Tonic Posted 3 July 2005 Posted 3 July 2005 Now we just need Riordan to make the move down South!
Leicester_Mad Posted 3 July 2005 Posted 3 July 2005 Riordan was transfer listed today.....£1mil though
Steven Posted 3 July 2005 Author Posted 3 July 2005 Riordan was transfer listed today.....£1mil though 131270 They won't get anywhere near that. Anyway we are signing a Dutch or French player for 200 grand.
Lester LXXIV Posted 3 July 2005 Posted 3 July 2005 Yes, apparently it's not a done deal and he's also had talks with stoke and leeds!! I'm used to being let down when prematurely excited about possible transfers like this one so shall wait and hopefully proven wrong!! PLEEEEEEZZEEE
EmLeee Posted 3 July 2005 Posted 3 July 2005 Why do Leeds try to sign anyone and everyone? 131283 because they actually want a squad with players that can play ... if that makes sense

Molson Canadian Posted 3 July 2005 Posted 3 July 2005 no offical word from the club on this signing yet then ?
