Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 Duno if the away end will still be there or not. Was meant to be getting knocked down! I thought they'd postponed redevelopment til May or sometime? They have basically made a cock up of it and must have realised all the money they will miss out on byt really limiting the away following for this season. Embarrassing really typical tin pot Posh. Everyone assumes the developments are on hold till the end of the season, it was supposed to happen after their first 4 home games and never did.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 Terracing is being taken down after we play them, think its in May, after the end of the season.

Sweet, fantastic news!
1964FOX Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 Potential to be a good atmosphere in their terracing, last time we will probably get the chance before the seats go in.

Thought that was what happened. Just remember Adrian Durham saying ,at start of the season, teams like Leicester will be disappointed because theyll only get 1500 tickets then around a month later he said theyd delayed it.

Just remember Adrian Durham saying ,at start of the season, teams like Leicester will be disappointed because theyll only get 1500 tickets then around a month later he said theyd delayed it. They were chucking away 4k fans of us, W.Ham, and at least a few thousand from Derby, Forest, Brum, Soton, and a few others. They would have lost thousands in revenue so that must be the only reason they delayed it. Why they couldnt do it in the summer i dont know.
Walker Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 Just out interest, is there anyone on this forum 'pro' sitting?! Everything I read is people complaining about those sitting, surely there's someone on foxestalk who prefers sitting?
1964FOX Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 I quite like sitting on my sofa when at home in the evening.
Libertine Dream Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 I quite like sitting on my sofa when at home in the evening. Over-rated, can't beat standing there watching Emmerdale. Disclaimer: I don't watch Emmerdale and never will do.

Poakey Posted 13 February 2012 Author Posted 13 February 2012 To be fair anything that creates an atmosphere ha to e a good thing. Yes I would prefer us singing WYS or Iwan in our thousands but this seems to unite everybody to get behind the team. For those who don't like why not use it as a springboard to get the classic chants sung as well whilst people are in the mood for singing. I think it did though, all other chants did seem louder.
SaM 12 Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 the 'we love you' bit is sung far to soon after the scarf waving. Surely others have noticed this aswell?
Guest Col city fan Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 I can't believe how long this thread has gone on for... Stu, you DO sound like a miserable old cvnt. The atmosphere HAS got much better and the new chant looks and sounds brilliant IMO. It was cool to see other parts of the ground embracing it at the Cardiff game. Just enjoy the singing and chanting and the better football that we played. Saturday looked and sounded great. Well done lads and keep it up...
The Year Of The Fox Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 Maybe I know Col but at least ill have kept my dignity and self respect by not joining in when the novelty has worn off. No wonder fans think its the best thing since sliced bread when they know no better.

No wonder fans think its the best thing since sliced bread when they know no better. 'cuckoo, cuckoo' ... I really don't see the problem some supporters have with this chant... I just don't get it... I for one have been supporting Leicester for over 20 years, STH from the Filbert Street days so remember the old chants well and the atmosphere was always good... ... however, since the move to the Walkers/KP it has been pretty flat for most the time so if it takes a New, already used chant by other teams to get a bit of atmosphere here then so be it... I'm not saying we should forget about our roots and old chants but if they are not getting the crowd now going/joining in then anything that does get more involved then it can only be a positive thing. It might be the start of getting the crowd making noise again regular, maybe more new chant will start to follow, catch on.. the main thing is that we are now creating some noise again which definatly has an effect on the players aswell as the spirit of the fans... Sounds like i'm repeating what has already been voiced in this thread but feel the need to repeat and stamp out all this negativity about us being vocal once more... if you don't like it, don't sing, but don't moan and complain when there is no atmosphere.... dignity and self respect pfft!!! Get behind the boys anyway that makes an impact!

No wonder fans think its the best thing since sliced bread when they know no better. Know no better? I used to stand in the kop at filbert street as a teenager, i witnessed many great DAYS including the day we survived against Oxford(Tony James), Newcastle bringing 10,000 fans and talking over half of Filbo and Notts County in the Zenith data cup when we took 8000 etc..... I'm all for the older chants, i prefer then myself but they dont work aswell as We Love You. I'm not bumming the chant, im just glad we have some sort of atmosphere returning to Leicester. Whats so wrong with that?

It's probably lasted so long because of Stu being so vehemently against it, probably having the exact opposite effect to what he wants. I see the Doug , The doug sees me..............
acooling08 Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 We love you, we love you, we love you, and everywhere we'll follow, we'll follow, we'll follow, cuz we support the Leicester , the Leicester , the Leicester, and that's the way we like it, we like it , we like it , Ohhhhhhwhoooooo, ohhhhhhhwhoooooo!

The Year Of The Fox Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 I'm sure they won't. People are missing the point. Yes the atmosphere is bad, yes I hate it. Does this song improve the atmosphere? Definitely. But why do people feel the need to learn the words to a new song at the expense of 'our' songs? It's been said by many on here that they don't know the words. It boils down to the type of fan we have nowadays not wanting to carry on the traditional ones. To me that's a massive shame.
acooling08 Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 Who invented the chant? Google tells me it's either St Pauli, Celtic or Crystal Palace
The Year Of The Fox Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 I heard Celtics version first. Another reason why I dislike it

If people are prepared to learn the words to a new song and not the old ones perhaps they just don't like or feel any attachment like you to the old ones.
L1HT Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 Who invented the chant??? Errr sister act! Don't tell me no one knows this
