SaltyDog Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 A good chunk of the Kop did join in. I'm gald to hear it... lets see more of that next home game..... fair play.... be nice to see the 'Kop' active again then... 'We all live in a Blue and White Kop' !!!!!
Corky Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Seemed like all four stands joined in, with varying numbers of participants. Sounded loud.
lovelcfc Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 it was awesome today at watford it will be great
broughtonblue Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 First time for ages we actually managed to 'drown out' the away support all match, as soon as they began to sing our ground out sang them
Kitchandro Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 First time for ages we actually managed to 'drown out' the away support all match, as soon as they began to sing our ground out sang them This is the thing that should be the motivation to do it game after game. I think it's helped that a lot of fans have started to accept that promotion is very unlikely to happen, so the tension and negativity has eased. People should remember how enjoyable it is to outsing the away fans and attempt to create a positive atmosphere, even when we're losing, e.g. against Boro. I can understand that people can't motivate themselves to sing when the match is boring or we're playing poorly but games like the last 2 at home should fill us with pride and it's that feeling that so many of the loudest fans have when they go to watch their team, pride. Not necessarily in the team but in themselves and their fellow supporters.
Jimbo Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Didn't seem so from standing in the kop To be fair the kop actually started it at least once today
Guest Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 To be fair the kop actually started it at least once today That's what I meant, I was in the kop as usual and whoever said the kop weren't getting involved was talking nonsense as I heard it start up a fair few times near me
The Year Of The Fox Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Would have loved to have seen your face on 70 mins after the freekick, would have been a picture! It certainly was a picture. Just a shame we need a goal for it to get 'amazing',becuase before that the shit song fell flat on its face several times. Novelty wearing off already?? Hope so.

Guest Bilo Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Not sure how much of it was down to strategic positioning of microphones and that, but the song sounded bloody loud in the build-up to both goals on SSN.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Yes, let's go back to no atmosphere. Or we could go back to an atmosphere created by humour, originality and tradition? Says it all about our 'amazing' fans when theres no atmosphere if you take away the songs sung by every other team. Did you not laugh when Cardiff sang the same song before us? I did.

I couldn't care less if other clubs sing it, there's at least 2 other clubs who sing you'll never walk alone but its still makes for a good atmosphere at liverpool and celtic so who cares?
lcfc81 Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Big Nige seemed happy with the atmosphere in his interview today. A good inditement if ever I heard one. Also I liked how it was sung straight after Cardiff scored! Sends out the right message to the players, (We're still going to beat them!)
Simmo86 Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 It certainly makes for a good atmosphere and people even started to learn the words near the end. from me
lcfc81 Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 I am also glad there are people who genuinely want an atmosphere and are actively researching to establish one (e.g this and the Poznan)

Jobber starts off a fair few chants with his drum. It must be hard for the lad to be constantly drumming for so long with that repetitive beat, that is why he had to keep stopping! He will definitely feel them biceps and triceps in the morning! Can't you be proud that Leicester is making some noise in a modern day bowl? Hardly any bowl stadium makes noise other than Stoke! From what you've been saying you sound like some old fart who sits in B2 with a blanket.

I'm actually in L1 prepared to sing anything bar the same shit as other clubs seeking to sing the fashionalble chants of our day

Two teams out of 100s sing that. God knows how many teams sing this tosh. YNWA has always been sung by the scallies and the other sort. They haven't copied each other. They both sing it due to Catholic connections. It wasn't a case of one or the other hearing and thinking, 'hmm we'll try that, it sounds good'
smudger63 Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Surprised to hear the comment that it didn`t seem that the kop was joining in today. I thought the kop was as good as it`s been for quite a while today myself. Plenty were joining in with the "We love you" song, but there were alot of people that just didn`t get the words in the right order though, They did however manage to get the scarf twirling bit off to a tee, without any problems Loads in the kop twirling their scarves, i even saw some in the west stand joining in. Sometimes it seems like some fans in L and K blocks just want to slag the kop off, but it aint no competition, it`s about us all being as one and trying to create an atmosphere that is good for our players, and difficult for the away teams. If we can manage that, then we might just be able to make our stadium a place where our players love playing at, and away teams don`t enjoy coming too.

From what you've been saying you sound like some old fart who sits in B2 with a blanket. It is hard for him I fully appreciate it. But you're making your argument daft. What you're saying is, 'we need a drum to help us start a song sung by so many other clubs i can't count them' And yes' I'd be very proud if it was WYS, Iwan Is A Welshman, Bertie Mee said to Bill Shankley or Score Leicester Score. But its not. Its a bunch of morons with too idol to learn any decent songs, who probably like doing it because it involves waving a scarf. A bit like people who only like reading a book providing theres pictures in it.

And yes, from L Block there was certainly one occasion you could plainly hear the Kop sing this chant. It got repeated three or four times before L and K Block joined in, then it got round once more before Jobber stepped in with his African drum beat
