MGLCFC Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 Gallagher to me is like Houdini - just when you feel he needs to be dropped because of 3 or 4 average performances he comes up with the great escape act and puts in a decent shift. I am not one of Galllagher's admirers and was hoping Marshall started yesterday, but, to be fair, I thought Gallagher put in a good shift yesterday. He was more aggresive, won some headers and worked hard (he even had to come off with cramp) The key now for Paul is to keep this level of consistency.
Brooksy Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 Not without a few weak points granted but generally i believe Gally is a very gifted footballer Penalty taking ability aside he's absolute dogshit
Salieri Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 Penalty taking ability aside he's absolute dogshit His free kick wasn't too shabby.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 Penalty taking ability aside he's absolute dogshit He may be inconsistant, lazy, mardy and lack strength but calling him dogshit is just silly. He can win games on his own as has already been evident this season. I believe the main problem is he thinks he is better than he is and so doesn't have to try as hard. Just like his best mate and fellow mardy arse Wellens, if the fans see they are putting in the effort even when things are not going their way they would be criticised much less.
hbkkids Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 Sick and tired of people slating there own players, especially when the don't even go to games.
LCFC FOX Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 His corners are shocking. Free kicks go in about 1 every 10-15. And hes doing well at penalties. So unless know one else can take a penalty why is he still playing. Marshall>Dyer>Gallgagher

He is like Beckham became for England about 4 years ago, you would only bring him on if you could for free kicks and set pieces. But his corners looked better yesterday but I still think that was because the Cardiff keeper is dodgy in the air and has always been, (anyone remember Waghorns corner which went in but wasnt given in the league game there?) and I still think Danns is our best corner taker. Frustrating though as you would think it would only take practice to get good at corners though we dont ever look like improving them
acooling08 Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 On his day, Gallagher has the most lethal right foot in the division. He can sometimes deliver a cross, shot or FK that is Premier League quality. For me, that makes him worth being at least on the bench. He has singlehandedly won us many games since he's been with us. He had a good game even if you discount the 2 goals. The commentator on the FLS show said that too. A memory that sticks out is when he tackled back then played a fantastic ball up to Beckford (the time where he blasted the shot well wide).
