Salieri Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 He wouldn't have signed him if he didn't rate him. Marshall is a young lad, Nige will ease him into the side slowly i'm sure.
sharpie Posted 11 February 2012 Author Posted 11 February 2012 He is 20, and got to be better than Gally
Salieri Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 He's had no previous experience in this league, it's a step up from what he's used to. Have a little patience man.
DB11 Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 I was dead confused for ages why you were bothered if Pearson rated the Cardiff goalkeeper or not
cc_star Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 He's 20, he'll be eased in... he had a massive ding dong on the day he signed for us with some stripper contacting his mrs, who knows if his head was right for a short time after joining us For the record, I'd like to see him start, but... From a footballing point of view we have an out & out winger on the left, if we had one on the right too then the midfield duo would easily be over-ran, Gally cuts in a lot, this means he's supporting the midfield duo & closes players down & presses them. Because he cuts in he can plays down the channel & it also allows Peltier room to over-lap. I don't know what sort of winger Marshall is but if he hugs the touchline then I worry for our midfield & I also wonder where our attacking fullback is going to run? we don't have the problem on the left, because the fullback (Konch) is the one who cuts in as Dyer hugs the line to stretch the opposition Picking players isn't about just picking players you think might be better, but it's about a blend... We don't see what goes on everyday of the week in training I think Marshall will have a part to play, not just coming off the bench today but starting for us in future too
Guest BlueBrett Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Marshall didn't look ready when he featured. Heavy touch. I'm pretty confident he'll turn out to be a decent signing though.
Salieri Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Why o why o why is gally starting?? Having a great game so far.
bluesbrothers Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Pearson signed Marshall. Because he rates him. What's your point, caller? Oh, and Gally's playing well...
The Doctor Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Alternatively, he thinks Marshall isn't quite ready to start. He wouldn't have signed someone he didn't think could do a job for the team. Patience people, patience.
Salieri Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 U watching it then? On a stream yes, coupled with commentary from Radio Leicester.
sharpie Posted 11 February 2012 Author Posted 11 February 2012 My point is gally is awful 95% of the time!!!
Pegosteve Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Why o why o why is gally starting?? Cause he can do things like that!!
Guest parky0607 Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 hahahahhahahahahah at the starter of this thread - WTF do you know!! serves you right for being so negative - you look silly now
Charl91 Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 I love it when people make these threads, just because it always jynxes it
MrBojangles Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 And this is why largely unwarranted negativity about players is plain stupid
sharpie Posted 11 February 2012 Author Posted 11 February 2012 works everytime! but i dont feel stupid i still dont rate him well done he got 2 goals he did that the other week then was awful for the next few games, like i said awful 95% of the time
Mission Unlikely Promotion Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 This usually happens to me alot, the minute i start even thinking somebody is having a shit game and underperforming he usually scores a goal
Earlydoorsjones Posted 11 February 2012 Posted 11 February 2012 Gally can't score 2 every game...but that does not make him crap! City fans don't seem to tolerate a natural rate of inconsistency. Even Giggs has off patches (circa the entire time he was shafting Danni Behr, he was never better than average on the pitch). OK, so he may not be your most rated player, but what do we expect - perfection???
