Gallagher has scored 9 goals this season that is a fact. Gally is a good player but a bit of a luxury, he looked poor against Boro, a team that kicked us off the park and tried to turn the game into a scrap, and he always will in those kind of games, but in game when we are on top he can be the difference maker.

If you dont perform in your day job you get a rocket up your a**e you dont get a well done, these players earn 1000's and ive seen gally fanny around which drives me mad.

Gets found out 5 mins into the game by the right back and can't take a man on or put in a decent cross. In league 1 he scored lots of goals for us but I think that's his level. marshal was on a few mins and managed to beat 2 men and get a shot away. I'll never ever boo dyer tho or any player that wears a Leicester shirt.

Technically one of our best players, scores dead ball goals which if he was a premiership player people would be cooing about for weeks,never seen him miss a penalty and is one of our top scorers and you know a bit about football? which bit?

Sharpie, you are not alone in what you think I'm not a Galley fan for most of the time and apart from his shooting today he struggled, his corner kicks are often poor, he fails to get in a good tackle but today we have got to be thankful for his contribution, I would have started with Marshall but that means we might lost !!

Dan Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 As funny as it is this thread, the OP isn't wrong, he's a very, very limited player who's just booked his place in Tuesday's team where he'll most likely do fvck all. It sounds terrible of me I know but that's the way it is with Gallagher, even today he didn't do a lot other than the goals but when he's won you the game you can't complain one bit, so I applaud that, but I don't think the OP is that wrong.

He doesn't run and battle and tackle, but is still capable of moments of quality that no other player in the squad is capable of. Is he a luxury in the team or is he the matchwinner? I tend to convince myself it's the former, but with 9 goals and a few assists to his name already there is strong evidence for the latter. I really don't know.
Guesty Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 Gallagher is frustrating, if he plays 10 games on average he will be poor for 5, average for 3 and with his set peices or long rangers will win 2 games single handedly. Problem is you never know which one your going to get. Just wish he'd put more of a shift in when he's having a poor game. I think thats what annoys most people becuase he could do it if he really wanted do. Does annoy me when people boo him or cheer when hes subbed though. Not like hes gone out there to play bad. He just has a certain skill set and when he's having a bad game Pearson waits to long to sub him.
