broughtonblue Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 So in the next few weeks we will be asked to cough up another few hundred quid to guarantee our seats for next season, I'm honestly not sure whether to bother with the standard of football witnessed this season. I also have to pay for my under 18 lad so am looking at probably £500. In these difficult economic times If I do renew I will possibly wait till I've seen what the owners do, who we bring in and even possibly who our manager is. Anybody else having these thoughts or am I just on a downer after yet another disappointing display and result?
Jimmy Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 on a downer, I often feel the same but still renew, do it on the DD and spread the cost
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 Do you pay the same amount of money as you did the season before? Iv saved Xmas money still waiting to spend it on a season ticket renewal
Libertine Dream Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 I'll be renewing, will keep renewing for the foreseeable future. Maybe it's easier for me to decide as money isn't as tight for me as most(not saying it isn't tight)
Jimmy Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 when are they announcing the prices does anyone know?
Kitchandro Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 on a downer, I often feel the same but still renew, do it on the DD and spread the cost He's only been here a month, I think asking him to chip in for people's season tickets is a bit harsh.
Libertine Dream Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 wtf are you on about? Danny Drinkwater=DD
Kitchandro Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 wtf are you on about? It was a joke, DD, Drinkwater..geddit geddit Here comes that darn tumbleweed
FrankieADZ Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 I'll be renewing....could never not....even if I was major ill i still would...hasnt stop me going before; its ingrained <3 Tho I will be asking them to put in padded seats

Karljohn Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 Not renewing, had ST for last 3 seasons, ever so slightly fed up of paying up early and then seeing ticket deals appear, mine works out at £18.65 a game - £429 total, and now they offered brum, cov and forest for £50 it gives the casual fan a £2 per ticket saving on a ST ticket holder price. Add the pompey four for twenty quid deal, and the other game that was £15, Peterboro? and its still only 85 for 5 games and you get 3 spare tickets for pompey! its barely worth it by the time you pay the direct debit charge on top.

Ilkeston_Fox Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 It's never hit me before, but I've questioned it plenty of times throughout this season. I'm in L1 not far from the back so it'll be £400 or there abouts for me. For a club that has spent well in excess of £15m-£18m that cannot offer their fans a back to back win in the league is dreadful. Leicester fans haven't had much too rave about in the last decade, so far anyone to have maintained season tickets throughout this period is a bloody loyal fan imo. Our club has been topsy-turvey in recent years to say the least. I don't like the way the fans have been treated during this time, a manager coming in; a manager leaving/sacked/pushed; players coming and going, on astronomical wages who continue to pick them up despite how good/bad they perform, and fans are expected to turn up in their numbers and support them. I know I'll end up renewing, but I just pray that the club can show some continuity in it's management staff and remain patient, just as we are expected to.
acooling08 Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 Next season is our Promotion season, I'll be renewing no question.
Jimmy Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 hate to say it but as I was getting a lift to work the bloke that drove is a Derby STH and we were talking about this as he had got their renewal letter and they treat their sth's so much better, even something relatively simple like giving a free shirt to people that renew early wouldn't go a miss but our "benefits" of being a STH have eroded over the years to the point that the only thing of any real use is not having to go to the Ticket Office on a weekly basis

Not quite true, fans are expected to pay, turn up and sit quietly, clap if we score, do a jig to 'fire', and not to bring any 'fire hazards' such as flags or ripped up pieces of paper. Also sharing your opinion about the important club/matchday issues via e-mail is strictly forbidden.

Quite right, I think I drifted back to yesteryear when we were allowed to support the team the way we wanted to

Free shirt or even free programme would be nice.
Bayfox Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 i'm about 18 seasons and counting and about 5 years ago i started to think enough was enough. but i just can't do it. i may not make every home game but i can't take the chance that i miss out on an important game. such as our season in l1 i had to be at southend. cardiff for the play-off and god forbid having to queue round the block for wembley after 23 years of going away from home. so yes i'll moan about having to decide in april or may. but i'll still get one.

My thinking as well, I've also had the birthday offer as well
