Bristol City Post Match Thread

I have really strange feelings after this one.

Walking out I felt proud. I thought, great fight, great effort to come back into it at 2-1.

And then I thought, no. At 1-0 we should have run away with it, and the defending was absolutely shambolic.

If we beat Reading I'll be over the fvcking moon nonetheless.

Just got back. C**T ROADWORKS on the M4 eastbound. Then they didn't signpost the diversion properly. I ended up driving on several country roads before I eventually got back.

Very disappointing. Not much to say right now. Got work at 6am but Bristol were worth their win. They wanted it far more. They closed us down all over the pitch and got men behind the ball. That, combined with F**KING SH*T DEFENDING has really let us down tonight. I can't believe (though I should know better) how when we went in front (especially the 2nd time), not only did we just sit back, but we seemed to COMPLETELY switch off! There was no pressing no urgency at that point nothing. It was awful to watch.

And all this about Ashton Gate being great for away fans. We weren't great today. It had a similar feel to Watford.

Overall, same old Leicester. But fair play to Bristol City. They deserved it more than us.

But we only went in front once for the first goal, after that we only drew level

True. I was very tired when I wrote that!

Looking at the championship table is extremely frustrating. We could've been 4 points off right now with games against the teams above us just coming up. I do hope that Leicester put in a proper shift at Reading. Just for some bloody pride in this team. We always seem to lose our games in the south (except for Palace).

Edit: And Southampton (amazingly)

Yes but the difference is that Southampton have been more consistent than us, spent less money than us, have a better nucleus of the squad than we have, and they've lost less games than us, particularly against teams in the bottom half. (like Bristol City)

Except Southampton are one of the few teams along with ourselves that Bristol City have achieved the double over!

Complete and utter disgrace.

One of the worst performances I have ever seen.

I don't know how we managed to let in 3, Bristol were extremely bad, but they were clinical, we, as usual, weren't.

I wouldn't say it was our attitude, it just reminded me again that this team seriously isn't top 6 material, I think player for player we're no stronger than NP's side of 2 years ago where people say we weren't that strong, we just did very well as a team, well I think that team had more quality (genuinely believe that watching last night) as well as a better team ethic. We just had no spark, nothing.

Dyer took his goal pretty well, as anyone who's been knows, the view from that end is pretty shocking so you can't make things out at the other end at all, but he seemed to get it in from a very tight angle in the bottom corner.

But we just gave them a chance to get back on and they took it, Schmeichel arguably could've done better.

The second-half, same as the first, appalling game and they break through again following no real pressure and put it away, something we just seem completely incapable of doing.

We pressured them and it got me how little quality there was, Nugent had one of his worst games for us, he was totally ineffective. Finally broke through and Danns pretty much walked it in, he could hardly miss.

But like the last goal, we let them have another chance instantly and they took it, absolutely shocking again.

All in all for a 3-2 it was probably the worst one I've ever seen. Very little happened, BBC must make their stats up, absolutely no way on earth did they have 13 shots lol absolutely no way, two god-awful sides and surprise, surprise, Leicester come out 2nd best.

Season well and truly over.

Her diary:

He arrived home Tuesday night not speaking. He opened the door with his head down, slowly took off his coat and sat alone in the dining room.

I knew something was wrong. What have I done? Is this the end of our relationship? Has he met another woman? Does he not love me? I’m so upset.

I tried to talk to him and caressed him, held his hand, but I just knew something wasn’t quite right and dreaded hearing him say it was the end. I sat him on the couch and held him in my arms and he finally looked at me, held me back and he made sweet love to me.

His diary:

Bristol City 3 Leicester City 2. Absolutely fkin gutted! Got a sh@g though.
