nothin2seehere Posted 28 March 2012 Posted 28 March 2012 ..but with other teams dropping points left and right it shows their lack of depth. With the exception of third place, all remaining playoff spots are still within anyone's grasp imo.
davbison Posted 28 March 2012 Posted 28 March 2012 I think 70 points will be sufficient to make the Play Offs this season. 70 points has been enough for 2 out of the last 4 Championship seasons, and by this point in the season teams who were 6th were on roughly the 60 point mark which is where Birmingham are now (although granted they do have a game in hand against Burnley). Assuming 70 points is enough, we need 14 from the run in which equates to 4 wins, 2 draws and a loss. When you consider the fixtures, our recent form and the fact it's unlikely we are going to ever win more than 2 games in a row - the below looks feasible: Peterborough - win Doncaster - win Ipswich - lose Millwall - draw Burnley- win West Ham - draw Leeds - win I'm not overly optimistic that we'll do it, but it's certainly not impossible...
purpleronnie Posted 28 March 2012 Posted 28 March 2012 c'mon now lets conjure up the spirit of 1937.....5 wins on the bounce won us the title.........thats relevant baby!
AyewJoking Posted 28 March 2012 Posted 28 March 2012 Look at the table mate it's the best it has looked in ages. Far from over this attitude makes me sick. we are in this situation because we are incapable of putting a run together. i honestly believe you could put us in 6th place right now and we,d still **** it up.

What, someone being optimistic? I'm clinging on to the hope because it's the only thing we have this season. Where's the fun in it if you completely rule it out now?

Happy Fox Posted 28 March 2012 Posted 28 March 2012 It is frustrating granted but wouldn't it be lovely come the last game of the season we need a win to get into the playoffs likewise Leeds and Beckfrod pops up with the winner for us and 4,000 odd City fans go into rapture.

Yes.... We'll see
Guy Posted 28 March 2012 Posted 28 March 2012 We'll know more of what's what a couple of weeks before the Leeds game obviously but yes, that would be a nice thought to go to Leeds needing to win and Beckford scores the winner. It would be sort of akin to the goal he got for them to KO Man Utd. from the FA Cup at Old Trafford two seasons ago when they were still in League One!

What a postive attitude? Fvck me get a grip! Far from over anyway but we need 6 points from Posh and Donny!
