Gold Coast Fox Posted 5 April 2012 Posted 5 April 2012 what about on grass ? Would appear not. EDIT: On a good surface, yes. On a bad surface, NO
Captain... Posted 5 April 2012 Posted 5 April 2012 Please dont, I feel like crying. We could have signed Yakubu, Mee and Kamara no problem and attempted to get Vitor back but Sven has to be a bellend. If we still had the Yak we would be top right now but no, Sven wouldnt break the bank to pay his wages... I don't think we stood a chance of signing Vitor, we would have signed Yakubu if we could have done, but his wages put us off and then Blackburn came sniffing around, Kamara wasn't that good really, Mee would have been a decent signing but still a couple of years off being ahead of the likes of SSL, Bamba and Morgan, I also don't think Man City would have sold him.
paulsherwood1 Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 Anyone who thinks PVA was the worst left back to play for City obviously never saw Tony Spearing play!!
chris_lcfc_85 Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 Worst left backs....!!! Add Jamie Clapham/Alan Rogers/Rufus Brevett to the list
Guest Col city fan Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 PVA was the worst left back I have ever seen, stick him on the wing and you might be onto something. Bloody Hell you ain't seen many then...
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 We are no better than last year. Our best team was when Pearson was here last, players playing for the club. I'd take promotion to the Premiership with a 'cheap' team and no money in comparison to mid-table finishes with high-profile players and tonnes of cash. As for players, I'd keep Kasper, Waghorn, Vassell, SSL, Konch, Nugent, Beckford, Marshall, Drinkwater, Dyer.. all the others can go.. we can get replacements who want to play for the club, and not the money.

Danns? Schlupp? Morgan? Bamba? King? Kennedy's not a bad backup LB. I'm not sure about Waghorn or Vassell. I think we should see if they're still up to it after their injuries before deciding. I'm not sure about Beckford, either, he's ok, but he's very bad value for money.
flowwolf Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 Rhetorical question isn't it . No we are not better than last season so why ask ?

I was just about to say the same, and in particular King. Anyone that questions that lads passion playing for this club baffles me.
wellyfox Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 Bloody Hell you ain't seen many then... FFS I +1 you when did we have a good one
Cropwellfox Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 No. And we've increased the wage bill and number of fat contracts by shit loads in the process. Well done Andrew Neville - any other business and he'd have been sacked by now.
