Sharmania Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 Yo Foxes Talkers. I went into the City shop yesterday because someone on the phone said they would swap my GALLAGHER 7 shirt for a new one as some of the lettering was coming off. I ended up getting one with my own name on and the quality of it seemed absolutely superb compared to the one I had before. The collar was thicker, the material was softer and thicker, the King Power letters on the front were all raised and textured. I was wondering if anyone else had noticed a difference in the quality of the shirts? I mean, I picked up two and one was like they are normally, and the other was just so good, almost as if it was a real one that the teams play in! Nigel even agreed to have a picture with me as if I had just signed for the club: Should have asked him!
DeclanMC Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 Need to go and swap mine tomorrow actually. Great photo!
Sharmania Posted 28 April 2012 Author Posted 28 April 2012 Cheers! Yeah anyone who has the letters hanging off their shirt should definitely swap it! They didn't even check what was wrong with mine they just went "Yeah okay no problem".
Guesty Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 My mate bought one the other week for 15 quid, he's put it in the wash the other day. Letters are coming off and now its 5 quid cheaper. The div's lost his receipt and now he reckons they might not give him a refund. Maybe you were lucky cuz his shirt's quailty was rubbish.

Jace Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 Maybe you are right and they are selling match day stock now as it is end of the season? If that's true then they were really stupid to make the match day shirts decent quality and the fans replicas crap quality.
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 I got Yuki on my shirt, and then like 4 days later he left. Do you think I can still get the name changed on my shirt?

Walkers Wench Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 Ive taken my two sons shirts back twice each this season and have always been given a new one...,reprinted with something different, including the badges and fox,, with no argument whatsoever. The letters had peeled off so badly the first time that you couldn't make out that it said King Power. As soon as that happened again I went straight back.

My dad returned mine for me the other day, as I'm at uni I have the receipt and he said they didn't even question him on it, they just asked what size and were short sleeves ok, I'm not even going to get to wear my new shirt before the end of the season!
coley1884 Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 I've bought four now, two each for my two boys. On their current ones City are sponsored by 'In Po' and 'Kn or' respectively. I'm half inclined to take them back again, but like others haven't got the receipt any more. Might be worth a trip over though judging from the comments on this page.
stourbridgefox Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 My wife bought one at the beginning of the season and took it back before the Burnley game with no receipt. They exchanged it no problem. I think they accept it is sub-standard.
Mack Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 If it comes off altogether it will make it a better shirt.
LoughboroughFox Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 I have taken my shirt back 5 times, got a new one everytime, no questions asked, no receipts on any occasion.
Mack Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 They must have an absolute mountain of defective shirts somewhere in the bowels of the KP.
Fox92 Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 I don't know what I find more suprising; the club doing this for you, or you having Gallagher printed on your shirt in the first place.
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 people saying you havent got the receipt... you don't need one. its obvious that you have got it from thee. ive done it SIX time this season, all they do is replace it, no questions
Rob1742 Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 I have taken my shirt back 5 times, got a new one everytime, no questions asked, no receipts on any occasion. Do you wash it in acid?
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 I had to keep taking both home and away shirt back so in the end got a refund, £50 ish it cost me for both shirts and that was what we got, thank God Puma are next years manufacturers.
lee(lcfc) Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 the king power on my home shirt is cracking in places will they swap that.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 the king power on my home shirt is cracking in places will they swap that. Yes, they always do and if you want you can also have a refund, just say you brought it online, if you have a season ticket show them that and they will be able to find out how much you paid for it
caz05 Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 the king power on my home shirt is cracking in places will they swap that. Yes mate they will they will even re print the back if you have a name on it
Danno Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 Last year's king power logo was completely ruined after a few washes, have washed this one a few times and got it in Feb and hasn't faded much.. Hope this year's a slim fit because the baggy shirts just look awful on me.
