Recommended Posts

But wouldn't that give the wrong impression that a new Pope had been elected ?

Only to those who dont know the difference from the Vatican to Battersea Power Station.

Leicester City's owners will continue to invest in the development of the King Power Stadium and the Belvoir Drive training ground.

Vice-chairman Aiyawatt Raksriaksorn said the introduction of giant television screens inside the stadium had been a success and they were looking at other ways to "improve the match-day experience" for fans.

He said the redevelopment of the training ground was on-going after last summer's transformation.

"We have a plan to continually develop and improve the infrastructure of the club at all levels," he said.

"We are looking at a substantial on-going investment programme at the training ground, as it is vital our first team and development squads are able to take advantage of the very, very best facilities.

"We have been very pleased with the introduction of the giant screens at the stadium and we are looking at other developments, but they are not finalised yet.

"We want to enhance the match-day experience further and I have got some plans to put on some Thai boxing at the stadium at some stage."

Raksriaksorn said they were also looking to expand City's impact as a global brand in foreign markets.

He said City shirts were outselling those of such clubs as Manchester United and Real Madrid at Bangkok airport, although he admits that may have something to do with King Power's marketing in the airport.

"There is a fanatical following for Leicester City in Thailand," he said.

"There is a huge supporter base for the club there and it is continuing to grow.

"The FA Cup tie with Chelsea drew a live audience of many millions in Thailand."

This can only be a good thing for the club, rasing our profile abroad will bring in more revenue for the club and also make it a more lucrative investment for potential sponsorship deals. i say good on the thai owners for investing in our great club

Went to the Loughborough V Hinckley game last night (Lough won 2-1)

Sat in the main stand centre, The next to the 'Wortho' bar are very poor, more akin to Div 2 at best, head knocked off by the smell. wall, floor and pissers shocking

Few Bahts needed in that direction

Perhaps if they let it deteriorate some more it'll feel more like Filbert St

That's the funniest quote I've ever read, like saying the Co-Op sells more staplers than Ferrari's.

that said a number of suggestions on here may not be a bad idea. a proper fan village for example, why not cater to all aspects of the fans you could build a resturant and bar area, run some for the club, franchise a few and rent units to the likes of mcd's etc. maybe a casino, they make loads and gala in town is a bit shit/basic and what about an arena on the goals model, that would get loads of kids down playing 5aside, would you rather play in the shadow of your clubs ground or the general hospital?

Genius. I travel up from London for every game, and would love it if there was somewhere to go after before heading straight back. Chuck a Nandos or Pizza Express in there and it would be amazing

If you chucked in a Nando's, Pizza Express, or some form of bar like Vodka Rev's, I'd rather sit in there at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon then endure 90 mins of football.

To be fair, there is a Nando's not too far from the ground anyway!
