The Year Of The Fox Posted 10 May 2012 Posted 10 May 2012 Just renewed today. I only rang up to ask whether you did have to be a STH next season to have priority over the general public for away games. The answer is YES (as last season) Anyway, the girl was telling me how there is now a waiting list for L block (obviously people hoping/waiting that STH in L Block the season just ended don't renew) Seems like people have finally caught on to the fact that L and K are much better places to be if you want some atmoshpere, which is great news. After hearing this, and combined with the fact that the bird sounded fit, I renewed!
Father Ted Posted 10 May 2012 Posted 10 May 2012 Fvcks sake... need to hurry up and make my mind up before the deadline... really don't want to lose my seat but I feel like I've really been kicked in the bollocks by the club and would rather invest in more away games than a season ticket if the priority thing was true but evidently it's not... bollocks cvnts **** modern football

Had the priority thing been true I'd have almost certainly not renewed. Having said that, I view the seat as my seat, and it'd be sods law that if I didn't renew we'd have a great season! I'd have got a half season ticket, but I'd never get one back in L Block, and without being able to stand I'd rather not go to the games. At the end of the day you can always sell it back if you're finding it too tight financially. That's what I'm thinking
Dylan Posted 10 May 2012 Posted 10 May 2012 this isn't a waiting list that you have to join is it? Looking to buy a ST, then after the deadline (when non-renewers lose their seats), looking to change the seat to somewhere in L1!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 10 May 2012 Author Posted 10 May 2012 Yes there is a waiting list. Two of my mates have put their names down on it today. Obviously depends how many original L Block STHs renew as to how many from the waiting list can get on
Dylan Posted 10 May 2012 Posted 10 May 2012 Ohh, emailed the club a few weeks ago saying that I'm looking to get a ST somewhere high in L1... was going to buy a ST before deadline (to get cheaper price) and then get it moved to somewhere high up in L1 should anything open up, and they said this would be fine- wasn't told about any waiting list. Anyhow, emailed them back just now enquiring about this and asked to join it.
Kitchandro Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 I just do not understand why it's £60 cheaper in L than in K. What a shite pricing system we have.
Dan Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 I just do not understand why it's £60 cheaper in L than in K. What a shite pricing system we have. Closer to the middle of the stand = better view. Which is what the club would've taken into account. Wouldn't put it past LCFC to make L1 proper expensive in the next few years.

Wouldn't put it past LCFC to make L1 proper expensive in the next few years. I'm sure that's their thinking but £60? I'm about 8 seats away from L. The view can't be that much worse! So I've either got to put myself on a waiting list and risk not getting one at all, or just renew in place I'd rather not sit anymore for far more money. They don't half want to put me off.

Aye it's stupid but you'll always draw boundaries like that, I mean compare a seat in the family stand/west stand corner. You could be paying double the seat next to you. I've considered moving to L/K but I don't think any fvcker else I know is.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 12 May 2012 Author Posted 12 May 2012 I just do not understand why it's £60 cheaper in L than in K. What a shite pricing system we have. I think I paid 390 last season in l as a STH and my mate whos under 22 paid 500 ish

Danny the Fox 95 Posted 3 June 2012 Posted 3 June 2012 L and K block are defo the best places in terms of atmosphere. Really don't think we will sell as many season tickets as last season though!
Marmite Posted 3 June 2012 Posted 3 June 2012 Big waiting list for L block, renewed mine today. I think fans have realised its where the atmosphere is now. I sat in the Kop for a few years but its just dire

Dylan Posted 3 June 2012 Posted 3 June 2012 Not saying your wrong but I was told there was no waiting list for L1 last week when I contacted the ticket office. Same, got an email response.... so if there is one, I'll be contacting them back!
HEGGSY Posted 3 June 2012 Posted 3 June 2012 I'm going next Sunday to renew mine, I'm in J3 currently, but if there's the opportunity to mhe to K/L then I will.
Jimmy Posted 3 June 2012 Posted 3 June 2012 Big waiting list for L block, renewed mine today. I think fans have realised its where the atmosphere is now. I sat in the Kop for a few years but its just dire well if everyone gives up and moves seats it'll never change will it
Dan Posted 3 June 2012 Posted 3 June 2012 Sadly the front of L sits and I don't think they'll budge. Glad to see it's gonna grow again though.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 4 June 2012 Author Posted 4 June 2012 Not saying your wrong but I was told there was no waiting list for L1 last week when I contacted the ticket office. My two mates who had their names down on that list were contacted on Thursday as they had some tickets available for them. Stupidly/unfortunately my mate didn't have any form of making a payment whilst at work, so he fears he may have lost the chance now!
Marmite Posted 4 June 2012 Posted 4 June 2012 well if everyone gives up and moves seats it'll never change will it Well its been 10 years and nothing has changed in that time has it ? The atmosphere is shocking in the Kop
Father Ted Posted 5 June 2012 Posted 5 June 2012 If only those goons at the front of L1 would move over, would be quality if the whole of L1 and K1 begun to stand, not just top half...

This is what I don't understand, why pay to sit in the part of the ground that generates the most atmosphere, only to sit down and not sing.
