Shum Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 Leicester City have secured a glamour pre-season friendly against Inter Milan at the Walkers Stadium on Monday July 25. The Italian giants, who finished third in Serie A last season and lifted the Coppa Italia Cup after defeating AS Roma in the final, will take on the Foxes in the inaugural Pirelli Cup in front of an expected sell-out crowd. Inter are managed by former City striker Roberto Mancini, who made five appearances for the Foxes in 2001 almost 20 years after he had first hit the global headlines as the world's most expensive teenager. The Leicester faithful can also look forward to seeing a host of star names including the likes of Brazilian international Adriano, ex-Ajax and Juventus star Edgar Davids and former Man Utd and Chelsea midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron in action. The showpiece, which supersedes City's original fixture against Notts County scheduled for the same day, will form part of manager Craig Levein's pre-season preparations ahead of the start of the new Championship campaign on Saturday August 6. Levein said: "It is a fantastic opportunity for us to take on one of Europe's best sides. "I hope our fans will fill the stadium and for many of them it will prove to be one of the first opportunities they will have to witness at first hand some of our new signings. "These are exciting times for our football club." Tickets for the clash will go on sale to everyone from the Ticket Office tomorrow at 9am (Saturday July 9 - 9am to 1pm) but season-ticket holders will have their individual seats reserved until close of business (5pm) on Saturday July 16 (inclusive). Tickets are priced at £10 (£5 concessions) for season-ticket holders and £15 (£5 concessions) for non-season-ticket holders. The Foxes are also scheduled to take on Scottish Cup winners Celtic at the Walkers Stadium on Tuesday, July 19 with Neil Lennon returning to his former stamping ground.

There are a lot of people out there who say that they are a younger so that they get cheaper tickets.
