Dutch captain complains of racism

One of my best mates is a Pole and he seems to think you won't get it at the games as the sort of fans that indulge in this can't afford match tickets to the actual games hence why you might at have got some at the "free entry" training sessions.

Ah right, ok.

Hope this is the case :)

This was discussed on our forum and a couple said "well these players get paid enough and have comfy lifestyles" so should just accept any form of abuse which I thought was the wrong way to think but maybe these fans in less tolerant countries think the same and generally appear to get away with it from UEFA/FIFA so feel they can dow hat they like.

As for players leaving the pitch it would make a strong moral stance but I guess would have to be genuine.

The worst ones usually are the best ones. I aim low to hit high. My only regret was not putting a picture of Popeye to reinforce my gag, so as the young'uns might know what I was referring to. There'll be other opportunities to show my wit...I just have to be patient.

You'd be nothing without my double entendres, nothing.

I do hope you understand my reply was in jest. I have no command of wit nor humour. I was merely piggybacking on your triumphs. I concede this with a heavy heart.

I really wish people would shut the **** up about racism. The constant Racism Watch by the BBC is getting ridiculous. Ironically it's more offensive to the Ukrainians than anything else, these assertions that it SHOULD be there in the ground.

I mean if it happens then report on it, sure. But asking Steven Gerrard how much the squad are worried by it and the commentators pretty much literally going "no racism yet guys!" its just stupid.

You started it when you banned me from calling Heskey by his popular nickname. ;)
