That was 1980. I remember that game because Dennis Rofe scored an absolute screamer from about 35 yards at the kop end.

Dennis Rofe lived directly across the road from me at the time........& was a thoroughly decent bloke!!

Dennis Rofe was a superb player, and as solid as a rock.:scarf:

When I look at some of your first ever games, I just want to give you all a big hug, anyone who started supporting Leicester after Mickey Adams must be pretty sick of us by now.

My first game was Barnsely, at the arse end of 1991/92 season, from memory the line up was

Kevin Poole

Gary Mills

Nicky Plataneur

Steve Walsh

????

Steve Thompson

David Oldfield

????

Ormondroyd

Phil Gee

Tommy Wright

Kevin Russel came off the bench.

Just checked on the stats bit of FT http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/page/matchdetails.php?mid=991: I forgot Simon Grayson, Mills was playing in midfield, and not right back, and Colin Hill, (I thought we signed him the following season, forgot he had been on loan with us before hand). Not bad memory from 20 years ago).

Think I went to the opening game of the 92-93 season against Peterborough as well in the Double Decker.

This was my first game also, but it was the 93-94 season.

Think the line up was;

Gavin Ward

Mike Whitlow

Colin Hill

Brian Carey

Steve Walsh

Tony James

Steve Thompson

Steve Agnew

Lee Philpott

Gary Mills

David Speedie

With Joachim and I think Richard Smith on the bench,

I think Tony James scored both. But Steve Thompson may have scored a penalty. I was 5 so my memory is hazy.

Just looked at the first page and must have been 60/61.Sat at the front in front of the hoarding until half time when we had to move so the half time scoreboards could be put out.Collecting a sports mercury about 5.45 on the way home and checking the coupon to see if dad would have to go to work on monday.

My first ever viewing of a professional football match was at Filbert Street on (I think) 12th December 1990. We beat Newcastle 5-4.

9 goals and a victory in my first ever game - not bad. I was 8 at the time and had gotten into football because of Italia 90 - hence my profile pic of Schillaci.

Not 100% if this was my first game, but it's the first that I have any memory of.

:D You got off to a cracking start then. That was my wife's first game as well. Closely followed by a 4-0 reverse at Arsenal. I've had her down as a curse ever since.

Mine was v Tottenham, FA Cup January 1974. Can only remember Shilton, Whitworth and Steve Earle who got the only goal.
