I know you live miles and miles away, but I'll be paranoid all day now!!
Deathside Posted 15 July 2005 Posted 15 July 2005 They freak me out big time and there's a massive one loose in my room I just tried to squash it with my TV Remote but it moved , i dont know wear it is now and that scares me  138377 Spidys gonna get you Seriously Muz, don't go squashing the fella - catch him with a glass and let him loose outside - I'm sure he'll tell all his spider mates that you're a good bloke and that they should leave you alone PS: Do you like flies? - Think about it..
Benji Posted 15 July 2005 Posted 15 July 2005 i'm just as bad muz, scare the hell out of me no matter how big any other insect or whatever wasps or anything don't bother me at all, but even the tinyest spider i can't even touch
kerryh Posted 15 July 2005 Posted 15 July 2005 As Mr DS said stick a glass over it! Failing that get the hoover out.
john_lcfc Posted 15 July 2005 Posted 15 July 2005 we have a massive one that lives in our house and we named it SID it lives under the fridge/cooker and comes out and is big and scary B)
Katy Posted 15 July 2005 Posted 15 July 2005 I used to be seriously scared of the little fellas but since coming into contact with them nearly every day from living in the sticks im actually ok with them now. When the lil buggers start hanging out in the corners of my living room, out comes the hoover, I know it sounds cruel but its better than treading on a bee and leaving it to die an agonising death Lincolnshire spiders are all blooming legs anyway with a miniscule body
Deathside Posted 15 July 2005 Posted 15 July 2005 Lincolnshire spiders are all blooming legs anyway with a miniscule body 138409 Yeah I've met them The last time I was in a recording studio was at a converted church in Lincolnshire (Imaginatively called The Chapel) The outer buildings (like the bogs and the accomodation suite) were full of those legs only spiders Uncle Google tells me that they are called Daddy Long Legs Spiders - Not sure about that?
Katy Posted 15 July 2005 Posted 15 July 2005 Yes thats them! Except the ones that come into my house have smaller bodies. Daddy long legs spiders my arse!

Daddy long legs spiders my arse! 138434 D'you think they're considered sexy in the spider world? I mean a girly with legs that long would usually be considered sexy (or a complete freak )

It is also very bad luck to kill a Spider. Do as Deathside suggests.
Guest Posted 15 July 2005 Posted 15 July 2005 catch him with a glass and let him loose outside 138387 Easier said than done!!
Collymore Posted 15 July 2005 Posted 15 July 2005 Spiders have to be the scariest creatures in the universe. I once visited Saudi Arabia when I was younger and some Arab guy told me he was camping in the desert with a friend and when they awoke in the morning, half of his friends face was missing. A Camel Spider had injected a local anesthetic into his face and then eat his face off while the guy was sleeping...I've had a fear of spiders since. CAMEL SPIDER

Hitesh Posted 15 July 2005 Posted 15 July 2005 Hate spiders!!! Cant stand then. And i struggle even taking them out. I have to plan it perfectly how i will take em out, but it ends up going wrong and it drops somewhere. then i will just freak out!
