foxesfan1989 Posted 13 September 2012 Posted 13 September 2012 I used to eat loads of meat. Bacon every morning, steak twice a week. Loads of fish and chicken too. 2 years ago I did what the OP is doing, to see if I could go without it, as my conscience was weighing too heavy. It is easy as you like. Anyone can be veggie if they want to, if you say you can't then you haven't really tried. I think it would be great if everyone just gave it a try like the OP, you might surprise yourself.
Alexikokopops Posted 13 September 2012 Posted 13 September 2012 Most Sikhs would say the best vegetarian food is 'langar'. It is by far the best veggie food I ever tasted, and it's free aswell. I went the Golden Temple when I was in India and ate in the communal dining room. Lovely stuff.
lcfcadam Posted 13 September 2012 Posted 13 September 2012 some of my mates dishes now he dont eat meat Fried Sea Bream, rice an gravy Anyone who considers themselves vegetarian on some sort of moral ground but is still happy to eat fish is perhaps the worst type of person in my mind. I mean look at that Bream, it's still got its eyes and everything! Perhaps irrelevantly, despite being a lover of fsh and seafood I've never been able to see eye-to-eye with Sea Bream, its almost too "fishy" for its own good...

Depends on why you have chosen to change your eating habits. If your issue is with farming methods, particularly intensive farming, then eating fish is fine as this is not farmed, so in this it is natural in that it lives free in the wild until it is caught killed and eaten. As it would have been if eaten by a natural predator.
21st Century Fox Posted 13 September 2012 Posted 13 September 2012 I won't eat any food that still has a face when it's on my plate. I include McCain's Smiles in that. I also have a genuine phobia of fish skin, so I won't eat fish that hasn't been de-skinned.
