It's good to dream - Light hearted and entirely hypothetical

With Fifa planning to scrap the Europa League for a bigger Champions League does anyone know how many Premiership places there will be? Top 6/7 maybe?

Shamrock, Hibs, Llanelli.

Exotic women, warm climbs and foreign cultures.

Certianly plenty of cultures growing in Llanelli.

Any team from Portugal, excuse for a holiday and a few rounds of golf. an italian team, (milan, lazio or napoli would do) and maybe espanyol. Ok so we may not get out the group but at least it would be 3 worth while trips.

I think the ideal mix would probably be one that's pure night out, somewhere we'd take an absolutely silly number to, also someone we'd beat and also, an absolute giant club. All three in western Europe.

Agree with this, but my mate lives in Baku so I wouldn't mind that.

Would also throw in Brugge as a dream destination. It's a beautiful city with a disgustingly brilliant array of beers.

Also, anywhere in Spain/Portugal away in September.

Keep meaning to go to Lille for a Champions League game but haven't got round to it yet; shame

In November I went to see Club Brugge vs. Newcastle with a Geordie mate (we couldn't get tickets in the end so watched it with a couple of thousand Newcastle fans in the main square) and we stopped by Lille vs. Brest on the way back. €10 a ticket. It cost us £10 a ticket the week before to see Chesham United vs. Taunton Town in the FA Trophy second qualifying round.

Dream; Ajax, Dortmund, Malaga

Nightmare; Anzhi, Shakhtar, Hapoel Tel-Aviv

Why not Tel Aviv? That'd be right up there for me. I was there a few weeks ago, cracking city, great nightlife, great beach, great hummus. It was a bit sketchy hearing a rocket explode a few miles away but apart from that lovely place! And Easyjet fly there (admittedly 5 hours is slightly over the tolerable limit for time spent on one of their planes).

Just think we'd take hardly any there, I think anywhere we'd take hardly any is to be kept well off my list.

Admittedly if we got a group like the one I said, you'd be gutted to miss out on any of them.

Lazio's a decent shout, be intimidating as fvck but it'll be an absolute experience and a half.

Yeah, but if I go to Israel they won't let me into Lebanon. My trip to Lebanon failed spectacularly this year when they started kidnapping people again and setting off car bombs so I need to make it there at some point.

Very underrated support for Hapoel there too as well as abysmal football, so any game there would be winnable in theory.

I've heard nothing but good things about Tel Aviv, beautiful place by all accounts. One of the few places that would be pleasant enough to sit outside having a few beers pre match in November as well.

Incidentally I've just tried a random generator online and we ended up with:

Borussia Monchengladbach

AIK

Academica

Now that would not be a bad little draw.

In honesty i think the champions league should be made smaller and the europa league made bigger, the champions league should be as it was, for champions.
