With the Foxes currently occupying second position in the npower Championship, midfielder Ben Marshall admits he is enjoying life at the club.

The 21-year-old was signed by Nigel Pearson from Stoke City a little over a year ago and his recent fine displays have helped in-form Leicester secure five straight league wins.

Marshall’s run of eight consecutive starts for the side in all competitions has also coincided with the current eight-game unbeaten run, dating back to the 1-0 defeat to Cardiff City at King Power Stadium on 22 December, 2012.

“I’m happy enough,” said Marshall, who has scored four times for the Foxes so far this campaign.

“I’ve been playing, and I’ve just got to keep doing what I’ve been doing and stay in the side.

“It has been a good year. I’ve even managed to get an England [under-21s] call-up out of it and I’ve really enjoyed it since I’ve been here.

“I’ll have to thank the manager for bringing me in – I’m really happy.

“It’s getting to that side of the season now where it (promotion) starts to feel more realistic; every time you win you think ‘were getting up there’.

“Everyone is confident and we just want to get to the next game and win.”

And there you have it. The perfect definition of the word 'coincidence'.

I like how the OS goes from "I'm happy enough" to "I'm really happy". Textbook headline writing.

I thought this, until I noticed that he actually says “I’ll have to thank the manager for bringing me in – I’m really happy."

:P

We all know what he's capable of. A great player who chips in with goals, assists and works hard for the team. Every player goes through a dip in form, let's hope he's over his.
