indierich06 Posted 6 February 2013 Posted 6 February 2013 Oh christ almighty I wondered just how long it would be before the race card was produced. shame on you I had you down for more intelligence than that. He makes a valid point. "Separate but equal is a fraud. It is the language that tried to push Rosa Parks to the back of the bus. It is the motif that determined that black and white people could not possibly drink from the same water fountain, eat at the same table or use the same toilets."
flowwolf Posted 6 February 2013 Posted 6 February 2013 It is, it's the Warren Cup. I was hoping for a reaction from a canis lupus like individual. It is, it's the Warren Cup. I was hoping for a reaction from a canis lupus like individual. Ah so Jimmy Savile was right all along.

But what the fvck has that got to do with this topic ? If you want a racist thread be my guest but lets not get to deep or detracted from the main theme.

If you want a racist thread be my guest but lets not get to deep or detracted from the main theme. "When in doubt, get the race card out" - brilliantly cunning liberals For ****s sake, it's not about racism, it's about prejudice. It's maing the point that saying gay people are allowed civil unions but not marriage is exactly the same as saying black people are allowed to drink from water fountains, but not the same one as white people, or that they're allowed to travel on the bus, but they have to sit at the back. It's not acceptable to treat black people like this now, so why should gay people not be allowed the same basic human rights as straight people? Moaning about 'the race card' - the go-to rant of the right wing muppet when he can't think of a half decent argument.

Detracted from the main theme? The main theme is prejudice and discrimination for fvck sake.
The Doctor Posted 6 February 2013 Posted 6 February 2013 Oh christ almighty I wondered just how long it would be before the race card was produced. shame on you I had you down for more intelligence than that. Oh, sorry for using the obvious analogy, but if the shoe fits, throw it at the moron in the corner. This whole separate but equal thing behind the idea of CP's for homosexuals and marriage reserved for heterosexuals is the very basis of the segregation's of race last century.
whoareyaaa Posted 6 February 2013 Posted 6 February 2013 Why is it? If they pass all the tests and are deemed to be suitable parents, what's the problem. More archaic views about it not being 'normal'? There is nothing normal about it at all? The baby does not get a choice and you can not say its exactly natural either as 2 men can not produce a baby or women for that matter, I'd rather be brought up by a foster family or in one of those homes than by 2 men/women, plus it's not like the baby has a choice until it realizes whats actually happened, and then when it does realize the child may be confused and might take after its dads. It just don't sit right with me.
Leicester Piggott Posted 6 February 2013 Posted 6 February 2013 Can we hear from some gay people on the subject?

Of course you do realise that every time you resort to abuse ( throw it at the moron in the corner ) you appear like the classroom idiot who does not realise he is wearing the dunce cap while professing to tell others how clever he is. Her is a tip just don't use any analogy obvious or otherwise it's lazy and does not impress.

It's not remotely lazy, it's making the point that descrimination and segregation based on anything, colour of skin, sexual preference, is wrong.
Gold Coast Fox Posted 6 February 2013 Posted 6 February 2013 There are gay people on here ? Clearly i hide it well
purpleronnie Posted 6 February 2013 Posted 6 February 2013 since when was marriage natural? whether thats a gay marriage or not.
flowwolf Posted 6 February 2013 Posted 6 February 2013 since when was marriage natural? whether thats a gay marriage or not. Ah so you admit gay marriage is an unatural act !

It just don't sit right with me. So you'd rather see a kid raised in a care home, or bounced from one foster home to another, or living on the streets than living with a loving family of two parents? What the hell is wrong with you? There are no legitimate reasons for disallowing gays to adopt. If the concern is that a father/mother figure will be absent from the child's life, then adoption by single parents should also be disallowed. As it stands, however, we do allow single parents to adopt. Therefore, banning gays from adopting is hypocritical. Your parents aren't the only role models in your life, my life was shaped by my mother and father, but I had many role models in the community and at places like school, or work who have made an impression on me and made me the person I am today. Also, if your argument is that gay parents will never be able to reproduce, this is completely invalid. First of all, why does that matter? They're adopting, not repopulating a post-apocalyptic world. The inability to reproduce has no founding in this debate. If it did, sterile or infertile people would be barred from adoption. That, however, would be cruel, because it would take away somebody's only chance of raising a child. Finally, your asserion that the child might 'take after its parents' just shows how ignorant you are. Children who grow up with gay parents do not automatically "choose" to be gay because, guess what, it's not a choice.
