'Rested' players

Recommended Posts

NP rested his best eleven so they were fresh for games like last night - another great plan by the master tactition.

If his best team aren't up for it, where does he go from here? We've seen how poor his second string is and beyond that, we'll be down to ball boys.

Proves the point that lost momentum is damaging to form and morale - we've been there before and paid the price. Obviously NP believes that player 'fatigue' and risking a few knocks is a far better way of managing a run in.

And only £150M at stake.

But then what do us 'fickle' Foxes fans know?

They won 5 games on the spin just a couple of games ago, or did you forget about that?

What suggests he forgot about that?

He is questioning the wisdom of throwing down all confidence, belief, winning mentality and momentum at the altar of making sure some players don't pick up knocks.

The exact same 'key' players who have played in the last few defeats.

Perfect.

For the second time this season we have lost momentum, another false dawn brings frustration. I wonder if he had his time over again would nigel do the same thing again? now three losses on the bounce will effect confidence as well. form is a fickle mistress ,you cannot turn it on and off like a tap..looks like we will learn the hard way.

Of course he would. He's extremely arrogant and will not shoulder any blame/responsibility for poor performance.

He doesn't learn and doesn't change. If you like NP, then great, you'll like him forever as he won't go changing. Too stubborn for his own good.

I accept bristol city have been in "bad form" for a fookin long time. nobodies fault though.

We aren't Bristol city, we were second two sodding games ago having won 5 on the trot. Form will fluctuate, we will lose games, players will play badly.

If it continues then you worry about it.

We are just on a poor run, every team goes through it. I still have belief in Nige, he has guided us to 5th place already. We will turn it around... I still don't believe in 'resting' players though, they should be fit enough to play two games a week (which is the max). Did Bobby Moore ever get rested? George Best, Geoff Hurst? No, and they played on/in poorer conditions.
