Grandad. Posted 24 September 2014 Posted 24 September 2014 NoC was garbage and Raw was even worse, think Dean Ambrose coming back was the only half decent thing over the two nights. I am bored of WWE.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 24 September 2014 Posted 24 September 2014 Whole thing is at a low at the moment. Ziggler regaining his title was good but I just hate the Miz so much. Honestly will never know how he was main event of mania in 2011. As said before Punk got me back into and kept me watching. Its just not the same any more certainly without Bryan too. Hoping he comes back with a bang. Just going down hill quick lately Whole thing is at a low at the moment.
Bettsj2 Posted 24 September 2014 Posted 24 September 2014 Meanwhile in TNA, the 6-sided ring is actually providing some pretty good matches. Its a shame the writers are so shit as there is some decent talent there.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 8 October 2014 Posted 8 October 2014 Rock saved Raw but obviously only for one week. Crowd reactions he can make is unbelievable
Wem ber lee Posted 8 October 2014 Posted 8 October 2014 Anybody going to the bret hart q and a in November?
ARTY_FOX Posted 8 October 2014 Posted 8 October 2014 He just has a presence nobody else has had since he left.
Grandad. Posted 8 October 2014 Posted 8 October 2014 Oh how I wish The Rock was a full-time WWE wrestler again, saying that he would struggle every week with the PG rating.
Guest MattP Posted 8 October 2014 Posted 8 October 2014 Not watched this years but my brother says rumours are that Stone Cold is coming back? Any light on this? Oh how I wish The Rock was a full-time WWE wrestler again, saying that he would struggle every week with the PG rating. Him and Hogan always my faves ever.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 9 October 2014 Posted 9 October 2014 Oh how I wish The Rock was a full-time WWE wrestler again, saying that he would struggle every week with the PG rating. The PG rating is such a handy excuse for feeble booking. Smackdown has always been PG and yet in 2000-2002 it was fantastic. Even during the Attitude Era, Raw was TV14 for such a short amount of time, because, you know, they had to get Mark Henry trying it on with a transsexual and Harry "Beaver" Cleavage on TV to win the ratings war. If they knew how to build a star now, there'd be no talk of the PG rating. Instead I'm just waiting to see exactly how they pull the rug from under Dean Ambrose instead of making him the next Stone Cold. Not watched this years but my brother says rumours are that Stone Cold is coming back? Any light on this? Him and Hogan always my faves ever. It's always been said that Austin has one match in him, but I can't see it ever happening. He's nearly 50 and happy with his current TV projects.
Chug Laguna Posted 9 October 2014 Posted 9 October 2014 Not watched this years but my brother says rumours are that Stone Cold is coming back? Any light on this? The only match that made remote sense for Austin was Punk. Could have been epic, but we'll never see it.
Bettsj2 Posted 9 October 2014 Posted 9 October 2014 Watched loads of old youtube vids of Punk last night in particular his matches with Cena during the whole 'i'm leaving with the belt' bullsh!t and I was wondering, were they the best matches he had to offer? In his shoots he talks about how he's the best in the world etc and many fans say it too. To me, he looked pretty ordinary and even kept ****ing up his finish.

Have you not seen their match at MITB 2011? Or his match with Lesnar at Summerslam 2013? Or vs Cena on Raw before WM29? Or his many matches with Chris Jericho? Or his matches with Daniel Bryan? Superb matches the lot of them
Grandad. Posted 9 October 2014 Posted 9 October 2014 Punk v Cena before WM29 was absolutely fantastic and one of the best in the modern era.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 10 October 2014 Posted 10 October 2014 Punk v Cena before WM29 was absolutely fantastic and one of the best in the modern era. Yeah Punk even did a pile driver in that match I recall. Only thing bad about the match was that we all knee Cena would win to face Rock again. No one out did Punk in the ring or anything to do with entertainment from 2011 until he left.
leftbackinthechangingroom Posted 10 October 2014 Posted 10 October 2014 Not watched this years but my brother says rumours are that Stone Cold is coming back? Any light on this? He mentioned something about it in his podcast with a bodybuilder he had on something along the lines of stepping up his training for one more run (can't remember exactly what it was he said but it was along those lines)So there may be something in this. Taken from a wrestling website: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin alluded to a possible "comeback" during a recent edition of his "Steve Austin Show" podcast. During the episode of his show with former wrestler and bodybuilder Ric Drason, Austin casually said, "I'm trying to get back into shape for a comeback." While he didn't elaborate, it has been rumored and reported here in the recent past that "The Rattlesnake" is training hard for a possible return at an upcoming WrestleMania pay-per-view.
Chug Laguna Posted 10 October 2014 Posted 10 October 2014 Thanks guys, i'll check those out. You have to check out the pre-WM29 one first for technical skill, then go into MitB 2011. But do yourself a favour, when you watch MitB 2011, watch the entire vignette beforehand, turn up your TV during the CM Punk chants that literally rock the Allstate Center, and listen to the biggest pop of your entire life when Killswitch Engage drops. Also helps the entire flow of the match if you know who Colt Cabana is. Best booked match outside of Wrestlemania I can EVER remember seeing... only really hitting on Dolph's cash in and like Cena/Michaels RAW 2007, Benoit/Angle RR.... it's honestly an absolute classic. Like Taker/Michaels, Michaels/Flair (I know not the greatest but special place in my heart) Michaels/Razor, Hart/Austin complete fvcking classic.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 Bettsj2 - did you see any above matches yet? If so, thoughts?
Bettsj2 Posted 15 October 2014 Posted 15 October 2014 Bettsj2 - did you see any above matches yet? If so, thoughts? MITB is a very good match. Still nowhere near the quality of Razor/Michaels ladder match or Hart/Michaels Iron man but good nonetheless. I do think that Punk is a difficult guy to judge. GTS isn't a particularly strong finish and he doesn't ever seem to catch it right. I am looking forward to seeing more of his matches though. Its quite unreal JUST how much TNA rip off WWE storylines. The Punk exit was more or less completely mirrored with AJ Styles.
Libertine Posted 15 October 2014 Posted 15 October 2014 MITB '11 was a good match, but I don't think it's as special a wrestling match as some make out when I watch it back. It's more for the greatness of the moment and the blurred lines storyline going on at that time, as with the Chicago crowd. I do miss Punk. Really could do with him at the minute, absolutely dire bar Ambrose.

Check out his dvd if you can with the matches on there that he chose, the rivalry with Jeff Hardy was also very good.
hesapeepingtom Posted 15 October 2014 Posted 15 October 2014 what age are the people who still watch wrestling?
