Corky Posted 5 March 2013 Share Posted 5 March 2013 I think it's play-off's but if we continue this dodgy run then we could fall short of that too. I'm staying positive though, 2 home games coming up and we must win both if we want to succeed. If our form picks up and we don't scrape in to the play-off's by the skin of our teeth then I fancy us against any of the teams around us. My only concern is Pearson tactically. Is it wrong to sometimes think about another man called Nigel, currently out of work? (thankfully Worthington got a job yesterday) No it isn't, I'd like Adkins to managed us at some point. lcfc1994 Posted 5 March 2013 Share Posted 5 March 2013 if im honest i still think we have a chance of reaching 2nd again, if we go on a run of winning 4 or 5 games again. Its an 8 point gap, which has been proven isn't much by Cardiff when everyone thought they had it in the bag, now between 2nd and 1st its a 5 point gap. I think many of us on here have been long-time admirers of Adkins. For me, ever since Scunny came and palyed the best footy i saw at the KP a few years back, including in our 'season off' in L1 ! Is now the time, though ????? Big one. Even more interesting as a question if you attempt to second guess how the owners are thinking (and nobody on here knows for sure, certainly not me). But Adkins would be a massively popular choice with supporters, I suspect. He has a burgeoning reputation as a manager. has achieved promotion from this division before. Crucially, he plays a brand of football that might just get us through the (now) more likely route of the play-offs .... although all that could change over the next 24 hours ...... which is why I don't think they will do anything so bold. But with another potential defeat at Cardiff just down the line, I can't help thinking the next two games at home are of real importance for NP as well as the club. Not advocating change, but it wouldn't be a surprise if it came ... and the next two games could easily be the catalyst for that.
