MooseBreath Posted 7 March 2013 Posted 7 March 2013 Actually the last guy was taking a big risk. He was basically saying, "if you commit this murder, you're on camera, so don't". It's a decent strategy but flawed because if the guy went through with the murder, he'd then be going after the guy with the film. So you'd end up in an enemy of the state style scenario where you're legging it through traffic and shit while being chased
vandamman Posted 7 March 2013 Posted 7 March 2013 Shockingly the last man taking a picture is a carbon copy of Charlie Brooker's recent Black Mirror episode
Kitchandro Posted 7 March 2013 Posted 7 March 2013 I don't get why people think calling the police is good enough action. By the time they get there, it's likely the man being strangled would be dead. The only real action to take is kick the attacker in the face repeatedly. Though weirdly I can see where MosseBreath is coming from with regards to gang hits (or even MI6 hits - no one complains when Bond does it!) Some of the people in that video are so half-hearted, a couple of them slowly go over as if they're like 'come on, get off him. It's not worth it mate. You've had a few too many. I'm sure you can work out your differences with a sit-down'.
Father Ted Posted 7 March 2013 Posted 7 March 2013 I'd definitely give that guy a roundhouse to the temple
One Arm Babba Posted 7 March 2013 Posted 7 March 2013 I'd give him a swift kick to the temple. Goodnight my friend. 4th floor. Ding.

The Doctor Posted 7 March 2013 Posted 7 March 2013 I would teabag both of them And if your world wasn't a depraved jackanory?
flowwolf Posted 7 March 2013 Posted 7 March 2013 I would shrug my shoulders and just put it down to yet another Pearson training ground incident.
Zingari Posted 8 March 2013 Posted 8 March 2013 I'd just assume they were a couple of quares indulging in some sort of depraved sex game and take the stairs.

The Year Of The Fox Posted 8 March 2013 Posted 8 March 2013 The number of people who done a runner is frightening. It's a good job I wasn't in this experiment because I know for a fact the 'murderer' would get a full on kick in his face

Good point. The use of a rope instead of actual professional killing equipment is also a bit of a giveaway.
Reynard Bleu Posted 8 March 2013 Posted 8 March 2013 I wonder what the legal position would have been if someone had attacked the "attacker", causing injury or even death? Who would have ended up in court and on what charges? Kill the attacker, he/she is your only hostile witness.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 8 March 2013 Posted 8 March 2013 And if your world wasn't a depraved jackanory? Do a stinky fart before hitting the button that shuts the door, locking in the smell. Would disabilitate the pair of them whilst keeping a safe distance
Captain... Posted 8 March 2013 Posted 8 March 2013 The closest I've come to anything remotely related is a working in a bar and it kicking off, found myself standing between a big fvck off skin head and a little fella brandishing a pool cue trying to calm things down. I've seen scraps in clubs and tried to break them up and other times I've just walked off, I have no idea what I would do in that situation, the fact the guy is screaming help would probably make me try and help him, but you really don't know. I do wonder if they only opened that lift to people who didn't have anything that could be used as a weapon to hand.
ithuriel Posted 8 March 2013 Posted 8 March 2013 Done security work and been in tense situations including getting punched and kicked, had some lads try to mug me, rushed into a housefire, carcrash and a couple of streetfights so I know I would not panic though I might make the wrong decision and just react by kicking the guy doing the strangling in the throat/face rather than issuing a warning or trying restraint. Those guys doing this were pretty dumb in my opinion, what if it would have ended up in an actual incident of serious injury.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 8 March 2013 Posted 8 March 2013 Saw a similar thing today in the car, though not quite as serious. I posted it in the How was your day thread? Today was normal until I was driving home. I was waiting at the lights outside of Matalan, there was a Taxi in front of me and a van in the lane next to it on the right. All of a sudden the passenger side of the van door flew open and a bloke jumped out in a totally uncontrollable rage. He tried to wrench open the drivers door of the taxi which was locked. He then kicked the drivers door full force and was bellowing at the driver. Then got back in the van. About 30 seconds later he jumped out again and went sprinting off down Abbey Lane! To be honest it all happened so quickly that there wasn't time to react, the second time he got out I had the seatbelt off and ready to go but he just jumped out and ran.
