Wood trying to get into the opposition players heads, kasper running around like a lunatic frantically chasing the ball down to take the free-kicks. Tonight is the first time we have seen it all season, and that is what has disappointed me the most. If we had shown that level of commitment in other games we would be a lot better off than we currently are. To sack Pearson now would be foolish, especially after the most committed performance from the players came today, clearly they still back him, just hope the owners do.
Lambert09 Posted 29 March 2013 Posted 29 March 2013 No that's not true. You just have a short memory. The whole first half of the season we were like that. A big example for me was Blackburn away, never gave up despite ridiculous refereeing.

Yes the players ran around for 90 mins and showed passion and commitment but would expect less that's their jobs.

Passion etc will only get you so far, we lacked quality, confidence and endeavor, and hence we lost!!

dedlock Posted 30 March 2013 Posted 30 March 2013 We did not capitulate, the passion and graft kept us in the game. We lacked the quality of earlier in the season. Passion alone does not create goal scoring chances. We will need to play a lot better if we are to have any hope of clinging to 6th place.
broughtonblue Posted 30 March 2013 Posted 30 March 2013 Although i admie the fact he left two up front last night, we were being over run in midfield. Was really hoping he would go 3,4,2. I believe this would have given us a better chance of retaining the ball instead of playing long ball having to chase it.
