Finnegan Posted 2 April 2013 Share Posted 2 April 2013 Warnock is useless. He plays dull football, he's an insufferable human being and he's a willing cheat but worst of all he's just shit. If we were on the brink of relegation then maybe okay. But promotion took him years with Sheff U then he flopped back down, flopped with Leeds, essentially flopped with QPR given the resources. Most overhyped manager in league history.
Buzzell Posted 2 April 2013 Share Posted 2 April 2013 Short term contract until the end of the season? That's if we sack Pearson. The guy might be a grade A bellend but all in all his CV suggests he gets clubs out of this league. Just a suggestion.
Strokes Posted 2 April 2013 Share Posted 2 April 2013 Warnock is like rohypnol, yes he might get you what you want but at cost?

indierich06 Posted 2 April 2013 Share Posted 2 April 2013 absolutely spot on watto. there are idiots on this board who want to appoint a manager based on whether they like him or not rather than his record, which includes 2 promotions to the PL. that's 2 more thean pearson btw. how many people hated speedie, but then changed their tune when he joined us. If you're going to compare records, then you might want to look at the fact that Leeds are languishing down near the relegation zone after Warnock's latest job, while we're just outside the playoffs after Pearson's. I agree that our recent run has been pathetic, but on the whole, Warnock's done a far worse job than Pearson this season and that's a fact. LJS Posted 2 April 2013 Share Posted 2 April 2013 Leeds are 12th, you mentalist.
Happy Fox Posted 2 April 2013 Share Posted 2 April 2013 If Warnock cannot handle the pressure at Leeds he certainly will not be able to at City!
stillwater Posted 2 April 2013 Share Posted 2 April 2013 Not a Warnock fan but at least he could see he was doing crap at Leeds and had the decency to leave unlike our own Stubborn bastard. Think the Thais need to get rid and get MON in or he will end up at Leeds
indierich06 Posted 2 April 2013 Share Posted 2 April 2013 Leeds are 12th, you mentalist. Oh well, in that case, forget what I just said, let's get him straight in he's obviously done an outstanding job this season, reaching the breathtaking heights of 12th in the league. LJS Posted 2 April 2013 Share Posted 2 April 2013 He hasn't left because of pressure. He left because the new owners never wanted him. He was seeing the season out until there was nothing less to compete for. That's a bizarre statement anyway. Leeds are a far bigger club than us. You think the pressure there will be less than here? Madness. Oh well, in that case, forget what I just said, let's get him straight in he's obviously done an outstanding job this season, reaching the breathtaking heights of 12th in the league. Leeds have no money and yet are still within seven points of us. Like him or not his record at this level speaks for itself. Three promotions including a league title just two years ago. He isn't my first choice but he is a definite upgrade on what we have.

Happy Fox Posted 2 April 2013 Share Posted 2 April 2013 Of course the pressure here is greater maybe not from the fans who have been pleased with NP's mediocrity, but our club's is expected to be automatic promotion contenders with the level of investment etc Whereas for Leeds it is the playoffs A telling statement from NP yesterday post match was "Dealing with the expectation levels at the club is a big hindrance.†Another manager who couldn't handle the pressure. paulsherwood1 Posted 2 April 2013 Share Posted 2 April 2013 I thought warnock always said that if he didn't take Leeds up this season he would leave and retire? Can't see why he would choose to come to a club where a fair % of the fans hate him, vs a nice cushy retirement!
