dorsetfox Posted 24 May 2013 Author Posted 24 May 2013 scotthefox its not vitally important but i just wanted to show my kids who were to young at the time to remember and they dont believe me it took plenty of youtube vids to make them realise lineker actually played for leicester.i myself would also like to see it again. they just thought he was a motd presenter and he supported man utd lmao afraid i wasnt able to convert them over the years buying them leicester tops and going to the odd game and watching it together on tv one turned out a man utd and barcelona fan the other a arsenal and real madrid fan fecking turncoats

I hope you have more luck when they get older and actually realise what supporting a team is all about. It'd be cool if someone could find the start of that Blackburn coverage as I did find that great at the time.

dorsetboy Posted 15 March 2014 Posted 15 March 2014 Is it too late to have them adopted? afraid not the younger lad (now 16) is now man utd and leicester so thats not bad the elder lad (18) is arsenal all the way hes been to 3 games this season to watch them with his bird whos a southampton fan ffs have seen a couple of lads wearing leicester tops down here so i know im not alone back to topic i dont use twitter but maybe someone could tweet gaz and ask him if he has footage or the beeb do

They probably sold more flags to the BBC than to fans but fair play to Gary for getting their box kitted out with it all. Had some good days out at Ewood Park, always lively in the early 90s. Although we've not had a decent result there since 97, about time to change that next week.
