The only crime thats unlikey to not get reported is homicide which happens to have barely changed in the UK. Robbery and burglary probably won't be reported anymore.

Robbery and burglary won't be reported?

Really?

To be honest i'm not sure what is actually meant by "burglary" and "robbery" but i wouldn't report a theft unless i needed a crime number for insurance.

Phone thefts are rife

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-23377948

Statistics from the US Federal Trade Commission suggest that almost one in three robberies nationwide involves the theft of a mobile phone.

In New York, 40% of robberies are phone thefts - a crime so common it has been dubbed "Apple-picking" by police.

London has seen a "troubling" rise in mobile phone theft, the mayor's office said, with 75% of all "theft from person" offences involving a phone - 10,000 handsets a month.

There is no way on earth i would consider not reporting a burglary or robbery.  :dunno:

When some idiots were kicking our door in I dialed 101 they came within 15 minutes. So I don't mind others apathy if it means that  a couple of xops will turn up at my doorstep when I need them.

Been saying this for ages. Just been reading some blogs and other sources apart from the mainstream media. It's surprising what can be found that is not known to Joe Public. Anyway I see this as a positive thing.

More than 40 per cent of the assessments carried out on disability benefit claimants by the back-to-work assessor Atos are flawed and unacceptable, according to an audit commissioned by the Government.

Went to the city centre not long ago.

Haven't seen anything like it, in terms of empty shops (especially around the Granby Street area)!

On the plus side yester saw a film crew on Granby Street outside the Money Loan shop. Apparently they were making an advert. At least the loan sharks industry  are a thriving business. and doing well.

My brother in law left a good job for another job 2 months ago and has now left that one and got another one...none of which required certain qualifications all of which were well paid, makes you wonder why there are so many long term unemployed.

My brother works for a recruitment firm and he says they have never had so many vacancies.

Ed Balls is swirming on the news, not answered a single question and just keep on about families and opinions polls.

It's about time the economy recovered, it's nothing to do with the government though.

But amazingly was when it was shit.

I'll look at that in a minute but I know how you think.

There have been similar results from other surveys. so not surpised at the figure.

This is positive. From what started as a newsletter and letters of protest has grown into something that is being emulated nationwide and now taken seriously by politicians. The people can now have a voice and be listened to.

Going to the training school at Radio Leicester next Tuesday. Not been going before because the time clashed with a meeting at Apex. The time of that has been changed to a couple of hors earlier. So it'll be a busy day. News Cafe 9.30-10.30 Apex meeting 10.30-12.30 and Media Training 1pm-4pm. Whole days work.

OK it's not physical but a lot of CEO's count meetings as part of their working day and I won't be logged on Foxestalk .with the company's computer. :)

Its funny how good news seems better after bad news.

The people using food banks have trebled in the last six months.

Never mind there is this to celebrate. Those in the queues will be delighted.

I blame the homeless people, they should get their own food.
