LCFC website ideas

Recommended Posts

Hi

I'm thinking of creating a new website for City fans and need some input.

What sort of things do you want to see?

News, match reports, nostalgia, away day info?

Also could do with some name suggestions.

Few ideas I've got so far....

1884

Same Old Lesta

Blue Army

Everything LCFC

Be gratefully for any comments.

I'm not sure we need one. There's quite a few that are generic 'fan' sites that don't really offer anything different to one another. I'd suggest we could do with a site for specific groups of fans.

Personally, a site dedicated to Leicester fans who want to create/improve the atmosphere would be worthwhile. A lot of the suggestions for chants, meet ups, singing sections etc get lost on here whereas a dedicated website might help. Perhaps not?

Can you use your web skills to create an environment which helps our support replicate that of Bayern Munich's? Their support at Man City the other night was out of this world. It must to some degree be orchestrated by some hard core supporters - we need the same. Just think, 90 minutes of noise

To every degree. The only similarity you can make with any match involving Leicester is that it's always a core of no more than 5 people/groups of people starting the songs off (by groups I mean one lad might say to his mate let's start "ring of fire"). This is why people seem to think we don't have much of a wide range of songs as people will always start off there favourites, rightly or wrongly. If you want a Bayer-esque atmosphere. I suggest leaving Britain, or England & Wales at least.

Respectfully I disagree. When we're in the right mood, we are immense. I'm thinking the early minutes of our return to the Premier League versus Southampton at home. I'm thinking play off finals, particularly the Swindon comeback. More recently the Watford play off semi final at home. Fantastic sustained noise

I agree with what others have said, it's been tried and done to death, so don't waste your time and effort.

If you can have up to date news and info on your site then you would be better than the disgrace that is the OS.

If you want to do a site that people will go to, you will need to have some content that no other site does. I don't really see what a website could do to improve atmosphere that can't be done on a forum unless you are setting up something like the fosse boys, but don't let me stop you from trying, I just can't see it myself. Unless you can get some good content, either interviews with players, past or present, people associated with the club or even fans, Jobber, Roy Cropper, Bernie. Or if you are a photographer then some different photos of the match (not sure how that works with copyright).
