What will UEFA do here then? Another measly fine or a more severe punishment? I read this article yesterday which proved to me Garth Crooks is just a bit of a tit. How it first appears you'd think Wenger and Jose were in the stand doing the chants, but when you read their actual quotes they don't seem at all unreasonable.

Absolutely nothing wrong with what Mourinho has said. He's right when he talks about not letting thousands or racists overcome 'billions' of fans around the world by boycotting the World Cup. 

 

And for Wenger, also nothing wrong. All he is saying is that it's not proven yet that CSKA fans were racist. He's just letting UEFA carry out their investigation without saying something controversial.

 

I think Garth has taken the managers' comments a bit too far. He's taken them out of context just to get his own point across and that's unfair. Ironic how Toure says 'Let FIFA and UEFA do their work' which is essentially what Wenger says, too. But Wenger is the one who gets targeted by Crooks?!

Demanding evidence before inflicting a punishment? What a strange society we live in.

Crooks has always had a patronising tone that screams "Now, I'm black, so you had better listen to what I say" so no surprise here.

Talks of boycotting World Cups in five years time are so ridiculous it's not worth talking about.

surely the only time racism will truly be gone, at least for the most part, is when its stops getting so much press. at the end of the day its just name calling, get over it, stop bringing it up every five mins and get on with your lives.

When black people are not being referred as black people will be when racism is finished.

Crooks' attitude is to attack all racism regardless whether he knows the facts, he sees the word 'racism' and has to give his opinion which is usually not warranted. Somebody has already pointed out that Toure has basically what Wenger said but because Wenger is white so he's not aloud to be reasonable.

Crooks is a ****ing clown.

 

He might not seem the brightest at times but Stan Collymore is always bang on the money when it comes to the over-sensationalising of stuff like this. It won't help the cause of ridding football of racism if pettiness is always so prominent - as is the case with Crooks' comments here.
